“Magnus,” Sabrina whispered as she wrapped her arms around his neck. “you don’t need to be so shy around me
She leaned in close, her breath warm against his ear. “We’re both adults. It’s okay.”
As she spoke, she rose up on her toes, her Tips brushing against his skin. A soft
1 love you” she murmured, her words melting into a kiss
an through Magnus’s body at her touch.
Her lips were warm, damp, and insistent, and her hand slowly slid downward, drawing a shaky breath from Magnus. As such, his restraint faltered. With a groan, he pulled her into his arms, returning her kiss with equal hunger
Time seemed to blur–until a sudden crack of thunder lit up the window, freezing everything:
Lightning flashed outside, casting jagged shadows across the room. Magnus blinked, as if waking from a trance. Without warming, he pushed Sabrina away and began hurriedly dressing.
“Sabrina I really have to go. Stay here, okay?” His voice was firm, urgent
Before she could protest, he was already out the door.

He never used to treat her like this. Something had changed.

His brows were furrowed tightly as he stepped out of the car. Lightning flashed again, and his heart clenched.
Chelsea had always been terrified of storms like this.
Every time it thundered, she would curl up in his arms like a frightened kitten.
But now… he wasn’t there. And she was home alone. What if she was scared?
That thought alone sent him rushing to the front door!
But when he pushed it open, all his hopes crumbled.
The house was pitch–black. Silent
Even the hallway light wasn’t on.E
Normally, if he came home late, Chelsea would leave a light on for him. Sometimes she’d fall asleep on the couch, waiting.
But tonight, there was no light. No Chelsea Just a deep, lonely silence.
Another bolt of lightning lit up the empty living room, making it feel even more desolate.
Without hesitation, Magnus sprinted up the stairs and flung open the bedroom door, only to be hit by a cold breeze.
The room was empty.
His chest tightened. She wasn’t home?!
He yanked out his phone. The time read. 3:00 am
Where would she go at this hour?!
Panic rising. Magnus searched every room in the house. But no sign of her
Just then, the housekeeper, Miranda Watts, shuffled out of her room, rubbing her sleepy eyes.
“Sir? Why are you back?“!!
“Where’s Chelsea?”
“She’s not with you?” Miranda blinked. “I saw her come home earlier to pack some things. I asked her where she was going, but she didn’t answer. I thought you two were going somewhere together since you didn’t come home tonight either.”
Magnus’s heart sank. “She left with luggage?”
“Yes! I assumed you were both heading out for something “\
“1… His voice trailed off, words stuck in his throat!
He waved her off silently and tumed back into the bedroom.
Staring at the empty space where she should’ve been, Magnus finally pulled out his phone and called Chelsea.
