And then… Sabrina came back.
That day. Chelsea had just gotten off work when she saw Magnus waiting for her by the office gate.
She sighed and turned to take another route, hoping to avoid him altogether. But just then, a speeding car came out of nowhere, headed straight for her!
“Watch out!” Magnus’s voice shouted from behind.
Before she could react, something slammed into her warm and solid
The sound of screeching brakes tore through the night, and when she finally opened her eyes, she realized she was in
“You okay?” he asked, breathless, one hand gently rubbing her back.

anymore.”
Watching her like that, so broken, so lost, Chelsea couldn’t describe what she felt. It wasn’t pity. It wasn’t anger. It was… disbelief.
How had this woman, once so proud, so determined, ended up like this?!!
She looked at Magnus, then at the medical report in his hand.
“Take her home, Magnus, she said quietly.8
And just like that, he left with Sabrina.
He disappeared as silently as he had come into her life.
