I looked at the candies scattered on the ground, all of them smelled like durian.
Isaiah was naturally allergic to durian.
It was ridiculous that Shaun, as his father, did not even know this. But still forces Isaiah to go with them to the amusement park just because Kathryn wanted to have the experience of having a child before giving birth to her baby.
The arrogant Mr. Howard knelt down in front of me, tears streaming down his face and kowtowed in fear and trepidation. “It’s all my fault. I didn’t discipline my grandson well and allow him to do such a beastly thing. He even killed his own son. I will definitely teach him a lesson.
“You even gave up your youth to become the daughter–in–law of the Howard Family and gave birth to Isaiah at a young age, but this is the cruel thing that my grandson did to you. I will make amends for his fault and give you the shares, I will also give Isaiah a proper funeral. Please don’t abandon the Howard Family.”
I leaned over tremblingly and put my lips to Isaiah’s cold little face and tears completely burst out.
Seven years ago, Mr. Howard also knelt in front of me and begged me to marry Shaun because he was broken after being abandoned by his first love.
Because they had saved me once, I agreed and married Shaun at a young age.
After that, Shaun became more lively and managed to achieve many great achievements in the Howard Group, not apart from me who always accompanied him.
But I did not expect it to have such a tragic ending after his first love came back a few months ago.
He even had a child with Kathryn and started to neglect me and Isaiah after that.
After a while, I picked up Isaiah’s body and looked at Mr. Howard as I explained quietly, “You saved my life back then, so I agree to help your family. This is to repay your kindness.N
“But things have come to this now and our son is dead because of his father’s neglect, so I will not stay in this family anymore.”
The crematorium at the funeral home burned all night and I cried at the door all night.
The next morning, Mr. Howard handed me Isaiah’s ashes and asked, “Are you really not going to attend Isaiah’s funeral?“}
I touched the jar in my arms lovingly and shook my head as I answered, “It’s just a ceremony, I don’t need to show my face again in front
of your family’s acquaintance. I will only bring Isaiah’s ash and live quietly with him, so that he can rest in peace.“}
Isaiah was my child, I would not leave his ashes with Shaun.}
But I promised Mr. Howard that I would leave him a set of Isaiah’s clothes so that he could keep it to always remember Isaiah every time he wanted.”
As soon as I got home, I saw Kathryn and Shaun lying on our bed in dishevelled clothes. Shaun stroked Kathryn’s belly and smiled happily.}
Kathryn even said sweetly, “This baby is already kicking, I think our baby will be a genius kid. It knows his father’s sound and love now.“> Shaun kissed her earlobe, his voice ambiguous, “Of course, he is our child after all. He will be very genius and win many competitions in the future.”
“It’s embarrassing to hear you already think about the future, Shaun.”
Listening to them talking about the future without even feeling guilty for Isaiah whom they killed, made me clenched my fists tightly, letting my nails pierce into my flesh.”
When he saw me, Shaun was not guilty at all. He walked up to me with his arm around Kathryn.N
He looked at the urn in my arms with disgust, “You finally decided to come back? What dirty things did you bring home again? You’ve been messing around with these weird things all day and you’ve made this house a mess.
“Don’t think I don’t know. It was you who drugged the old man and made him say that he didn’t acknowledge the child in Kathryn’s belly and only recognized Isaiah as his great–grandson as the heir.
“In that case, from today on, Isaiah will be adopted by Kathryn. Since you have already taken her position as Mrs. Howard, I must give Kathryn to her as a guarantee. Where is Isaiah? Call him out to foster a relationship with his new mother.”
