Wiley’s POV
I never–never–thought the woman who used to do everything for me would one day hate me to the bones.
Yeah, I regretted it–but more than that, I was enraged. And all that rage… It was aimed not at Aveline but at Severine.” That very night, I returned to Anchorage.
As soon as I got to the doorstep of my family estate, there they were–Severine and Rowan.}
The moment they spotted me, Severine nudged Rowan forward.
The kid ran up and hugged my leg, all sweet and innocent.
“Uncle, where’ve you been? I missed you so much!“>
I couldn’t help but recoil in disgust, roughly shoving the boy away.
Severine’s face twisted in shock. She rushed over to pick her son up, and then she looked at me like I’d just betrayed her.)
“What the hell, Wiley?” she shouted. “Why would you treat him like that? Have you forgotten what you promised my parents before they passed? You promised them to take care of me and my son! How could-“}
“Shut up,” I snapped, cutting her off. “From now on, take your son and get the hell out of my sight. I don’t want to see either of you ever again!”
Severine shook her head, her eyes red and brimming with tears.
“No–Wiley, you promised. You said you’d take care of us! You can’t just throw us away like this!“}
Rowan started crying too, clutching g at me, his voice shaking as he said, “Uncle, I don’t wanna go! You promised to raise me.. and give me
half your inheritance!”
Looking at the two of them sobbing, I just felt even more disgusted.”
I couldn’t believe I ever tolerated them!}
My expression went cold as I turned to the butler.
that
“Throw them out. From now on, they’re banned from stepping foot in this estate. And make sure they return every single thing that belongs to my wife and son!“}
Panic hit them fast. Severine and Rowan begged and cried–but it was useless. My men dragged them out mercilessly.}
