is that so? Well, that’s good… Veronica’s eyes were filled with guilt.
Vincent, sharp
ever, noticed immediately. “Mom, what brings you to the hospital? Were you just looking for Sierra?” 1. I came “Veronica racked her brain for an excuse but was too nervous to come up with anything.
“Mom just wanted to check if I was okay. After all, my sister used black magic on me, and my heart was hurting so badly…” Louise interrupted, trailing off before adding, “You know, Vince
Upon hearing this, Vincent finally felt his tension loosen up, but an inexplicable sense of unease remained. It felt like something impo had been overlooked.
Louise shot Veronica a look, and Veronica immediately chimed in. “Yes, yes, Sierra–that little brat only knows how to bully her sister”
“I never should’ve brought her back home in the first place. If I hadn’t, Louise wouldn’t have had to suffer so much.“?! Veronica hurried over and hugged Louise, clearly feeling sorry for her.
As Vincent listened to her words, a strange feeling gnawed at him. He felt something was off, but he couldn’t pinpoint what it was, so he didn’t speak up
Glancing back at Veronica and Louise as they caught up with each other, he decided to step outside and give them some space.
As soon as he closed the door, he saw Albert, rushing toward him, panting heavily. Vincent frowned and said in annoyance, “Didn’t I tell you to lock down the airport? Why are you here at the hospital? Do you not want this job anymore?”
it had crashed
Albert wiped the sweat from his forehead and answered, “No, no, Mr. Milton, listen to me. The plane Ms. Sierra boarded… it h ten minutes-“X
Before he could finish, Veronica suddenly reappeared, interrupting their conversation.
“Vince, why are you still here? I heard Louise say you signed that contract already, so why don’t you come with me to the construction site
now?”
Vincent’s eyes flashed with hesitation as he looked at Albert “What did you just say?“!
Before Albert could respond, Louise’s father, Adam, appeared from the elevator, walking toward them with his cane.
When he reached Vincent, he spoke up. “Vince, the land we just signed for seems to have a problem. There’s a mess going on there, and we should go check it out.”
Veronica quickly added, “Yes, these worker disputes are troublesome. If you don’t handle it now, it could turn into a lawsuit
Vincent frowned, still focused on Sierra.l
“Albert, go bring Sierra back
Albert opened his mouth to speak, but Veronica stepped forward, blocking his way. Meanwhile, Adam coughed twice, drawing his attention away.
Vincent moved toward him and asked worriedly, “Dad, are you alright? Is something bothering you?”
“How about we take Dad to Dr. Beckham first, and as for the construction site… Vincent hesitated for a moment, then turned to Albert. “You go handle it. Try to meet their demands. If they ask for too much, we’ll go to court.”
Albert, feeling the urgency of the situation, wanted to tell Vincent about the plane crash and Sierra’s death.
But Veronica remained in his way, moving whenever he did. He couldn’t just push her aside, so he paced anxiously, frustration growing. “Also,” Vincent added, “once you’re done with this, go find Sierra and bring her back!
