Chapter 5
I was taken to a villa, with Louis cheerfully pressing the keys into my hand.
When I opened the door, I was moved to tears by the sight before me.

From the structure to the style, the decor to every little ornamental detail–the villa was exactly the home I had always dreamed of.
I excitedly examined everything in the villa, and even after looking through it inside and out, it still felt surreal.
“How did you know what I like?”
Louis just smiled and gently stroked my head.
“Being able to do all this for you is my greatest honor. So Brielle, did you mean it when you agreed to marry me earlier?”
The tall man tilted his head, carefully studying my expression.
I recalled what Damien had told me about Louis’s deep feelings for me, and now I could see there wasn’t a word of exaggeration.
I nodded firmly.
“Of course…”

A jarring phone call pulled me out of this sweet moment, and I had to take out my phone to answer.
“You bitch! I always knew you’d go behind my back to seduce men, but I never thought you’d go after Uncle Louis! Come back right now, or I’ll marry your sister at our wedding in two weeks!”
I snorted coldly, feeling there was no need to explain anything to someone like him.
“I told you we were over, but you kept pursuing me. You don’t need to replace me with Ariana at the wedding in two weeks–I’ll be replacing you with Louis.”
Just as I was about to hang up, Louis smoothly took the phone from me.
“If you dare harass Brielle one more time, don’t blame me for disregarding family ties. And about your family’s projects over the past year–perhaps you should look into those…”
After a few beeps, Damien hung up in a rage.
Louis returned to his gentle demeanor and handed the phone back to me.
“He shouldn’t have time to bother you anymore, so don’t worry. Now, could you please forget about Damien for a moment and

focus on important matters with me?”

My eyes widened in shock as I stammered, not knowing what to
say.
“What… what important matters? We just made our
relationship official… it’s too soon…”
Louis caught my fluttering hands, subtly caressing the soft skin of my palm.
“That won’t do. These things are better done sooner rather than later.”
Louis’s warm breath fell on my face, leaving me flustered and blushing deeper.
“No…”
I raised my hand in protest, only to have it gently pushed back.
“Pfft… what are you thinking? The important matter is choosing a wedding dress, of course.”
Louis, who had just been smirking mischievously, now returned to a completely innocent expression.
Leaving me standing there awkwardly, clenching my fists in embarrassment.
