Chapter 8
My wedding was one of a kind.
1/3
Not just because it was extravagant, but because the police arrested financial criminal Damien right at my wedding venue.
Damien was sentenced to prison for financial crimes, and he’ll likely spend the rest of his life behind bars.
After that, Louis often asked me, “Did you know Damien would show up that day and arrange for the police in advance?”
I would smile mysteriously and say, “Of course, I’m a witch, you know!”
But only I knew that I had no idea Damien would come that day.
I was just afraid.
I was afraid that this happiness within my grasp would slip away, that I would repeat the mistakes of my previous life.
So I prepared for every possibility. I wouldn’t let anyone destroy my happiness.
Nestled in Louis’s arms, I asked him a question in return.
“So how did you know all my preferences, and why did you always appear when I was in trouble?”
Chapter 8
He told me a long story.

He said he had a dream where in a previous life, I had married Damien and lived unhappily.
So when he woke up, he no longer wanted to hide his feelings. He just wanted to keep me safe in his arms.
Looking at Louis’s cautious expression, I didn’t expose him.
The truth is, from the first time I met Louis, I knew he had also been reborn.
But I mischievously kept the fact that I too had been reborn a
secret.
Because I didn’t want to revisit my past again.
Since I’ve been given a second chance, this is the right beginning.
The memories of my previous life could be a dream, or perhaps a movie I once watched.
But ultimately, the present is what matters most.
I don’t want to dwell on past hurts anymore.
I only want to remember who stands beside me now.
“Louis, I’ll be in your care for the rest of our lives.”
Chapter 8
Louis looked at me with a warm smile.
“It would be my greatest honor.”
