Chapter 8
Before the divorce, Emilia and Javier made a request…
She would give him a large sum of money, but he had to attend her and Nathan’s wedding, and be by Nathan’s side throughout the entire process, accompanying him in trying on wedding suits and rings.
And, he would be the only groomsman.
She would only let him go after he had finished doing all of these.
Javier didn’t understand why she did this, keeping her ex–husband at her own wedding, isn’t it inappropriate?
Soon, he understood why she had done that.
These were all the things she had promised to give him in the past, but now she wants him to watch helplessly as the beautiful life they had once built together and the marriage they had dreamed of are handed over to someone else.
When they got married, they didn’t have a wedding ceremony, and they didn’t even tale wedding photos.
She simply dragged him to City Hall and got a certificate, then they started living together.
That marriage was just a dream, it was revenge, it was hurt, so she naturally didn’t need to put her heart into it
Now, she was about to start a brand new life, and her marriage would also be happy and blissful.
During the wedding dress fitting, Javier sat on the side, watching Nathan try on one set after another.
Those clothes were eye–catching when they were displayed in the shop window, and they looked even more dynamic when worIL
No wonder everyone says that getting married is everyone’s dream.
The feeling of getting married is really different.
Emilia stood gently below the stage, watching him. With each change of outfit, she would nod approvingly.
The staff around and Nathan spoke highly of Emilia.
“Mr. Ballard, Ma. Lambert really liked you a lot, you know. That was the busy Ms. Lambert, handling a thousand things a day.”
“The two of them were both talented and beautiful, truly a match made in heaven.”
“Ms. Lambert used to spoll you a lot, right? These clothes are all quite valuable, ordinary people wouldn’t even dare to touch them.”
Nathan smiled and lowered his head, occasionally glancing at Javier. “Well, Emilia, she was really good to me.”
After changing clothes, the few people went together to the venue by the seaside for the engagement ceremony.
Nathan meant to have the wedding by the seaside.
He said he liked the sea, so the wedding would be held on the beach. At night, everyone would have a party on a cruise ship, free and romantic.
Once on the yacht, Emilia communicated the details with the staff, while Nathan and Javier rested on the dock.
Accidentally, Nathan caught sight of the heirloom ring he had put awa
When Javier received the ring, he showed it to Nathan right away, so he naturally knew what it was.
Nathan’s Lace changed instantly, without saying a word, he snatched the ring from his hand.
“Weren’t you supposed to break up with her? Why are you still keeping the ring?”
Javier was so nervous that he wanted to snatch the ring back, saying, “It’s just a ring, give it back to me,”
Seeing him so nervous, Nathan became even more angry.
He forcefully throw the ring onto the ground and stomped on it Bercely.
“If you want to end it, you should end it completely. What’s the point of lingering on with broken threads?”
Ring was instantly shattered when he was thrown, and before he could even grieve, Nathan suddenly grabbed him and they both jumped into the sea.
