“Van have no right to criticize Emily!” Samuel snapped. “You would’ve loved it it she published the hotos, wouldn’t you? You made sure to get my entire face in the picture each time, but you were very careful not to include your face. Don’t think I can’t tell that you came up with this plan from the start, just so you could chase her out and take her place.”
He could finally see what was happening, but it was all too late.
Jessica wanted to continue defending herself, but he detested her too much and didn’t want to give her even a sliver of a chance to do so. He called up his security guards and said, “There’s someone who doesn’t belong here. Take her away.”
The security guards, who were on duty at all times, immediately rushed over.
Jessica refused to leave with them. She continued to try to plead her case. “You’re the one who asked me to come over, Samuel! If you want me to leave now, I’ll do it, but you can’t treat me like this…”
Samuel turned around and headed into the house with his back toward her, saying, “Don’t let me see you ever again.”
“Samuel!” Jessica screamed.
Just like that, she was hauled out to the entrance. She watched as the metal gates slammed shut in front of her. It was as if she could see her shot at living a life of luxury slowly slipping through her fingers.
Tearful, she began to wail, “Even if I didn’t do anything, Samuel, she was going to divorce you sooner or later anyway! You can’t blame this on me…” On this account, she and Samuel shared the same stance. Neither one wanted to take responsibility for the situation.
It was only when Jessica heard the critical remarks from passersby behind her that she snapped back to her senses and realized the state she was in. “What’s going on with this young woman? Why is she out on the street half–naked in this weather? Is this what young people get up to these days? How perverse!”
“Didn’t you hear what she said? She said it herself that she caused someone’s divorce. One look and you can tell she was kicked out after fighting with the wife,”
“Goodness me. She looks like a decent young woman! Why would she do such a shameless thing?”
“She should be glad she’s living in modern society. Otherwise, in the past, she would’ve been dragged off and paraded on the streets…”
It was rare to see such a scandalous commotion. While remarking among themselves, the passersby didn’t forget to take their phones out and record the situation. They didn’t care whether the videos would get taken down if they uploaded them online.
Jessica was still hoping to marry rich someday, so she couldn’t possibly allow her reputation to get ruined. Hiding her face, she pleaded, “Samuel! Mr. Porter! I’ll leave right this instant, but can’t you at least give me my clothes?”
Hearing the shouts, a security guard came to report to Samuel, “Mr. Porter, Ms. Lewis-”
Samuel cut him off with a look and said, “I don’t want to hear anything related to her.”
He was visibly in a foul mood. There was no reason for the security guard to stick his neck out for a complete stranger who caused trouble for his employer, so he left without a word.
jessica continued screaming as hard as she could. Once she realized just how heartless Samuel was toward her, she shed her pitiful facade and began shrieking like a madwoman.
“Do you think I really care about you? I wouldn’t have even given you the time of day if you weren’t so easy for me to seduce! You’re definitely going to regret this! Men are all bastards! When she was still in love with you, you thought you had nothing to worry about at home, so you were free to have your fun outside. Well, dream on!
“You keep saying that Emily is the love of your life, but did that stop you from hooking up with another woman? Don’t tell me you’ve fallen for your own act of being completely devoted to Emily!”
Jessica finally revealed her true colors.
The passersby had only paused to see what the commotion was. But after hearing such a shocking piece were curious to see who the star of such an embarrassing tale was.
At last, Jessica felt humiliated. Turning red, she snapped, “What are you looking at? Watch it, or I’ll call the police!”

It was a working day. The only people out and about were either the retired seniors or nearby neighbors who came out after hearing the noise. Her threat didn’t work on them.
Someone who was genuinely passing by immediately retorted, “Do you think we wanted to see this? You’re the one who chose to be a mistress and ruin a marriage. Now that you’ve been stripped half–naked and chased out of the house, shouldn’t you be rushing home? Why are you still hanging around to humiliate yourself?”
“Precisely! She has no dignity or self–respect at all!”
“People should at least have a sense of decency. Anyone with the slightest conscience would never dare to show themselves in public after something like this…”
There it was again! Someone else was claiming she had no sense of decency!
This was the second time Jessica was being insulted like that, and she chose to vent her fury. “Who said I’m the mistress? Did any of you see what happened? The one who ten’t loved should be the one considered ‘the other woman‘ in the relationship!”
The onlooker who rebuked her earlier snorted. “You’ve got quite the nerve to say a thing like that. I that man cared about you at all, why would he let you stand out here half–naked? You look like you’re dressed for the beach!”
“She’s just his plaything, but she thought she could become his wife,”
“The properties here cost a fortune. Maybe she was after his money, but ended up counting her chickens before they hatched…”
Those words struck a nerve.
All the color drained out of Jessica’s face. Her expression turned ugly. No longer able to argue with the onlookers, she fled with her tail between her legs while they continued to chastise her.
