Chapter 10
Calvin heard the noise outside while he was in the bathroom.
After coming out, he wiped his hair while casually asking a question.
“Did someone call?”
A hint of nervousness appeared on Rosa’s face, but she quickly denied it.
“I cursed a few times and hung up on the scam call.”
Calvin nodded and picked up the clothes on the sofa to change.
Seeing his actions, Rosa’s heart tightened and she stepped forward, grabbing his hand.
“The wedding is in two days. Today, won’t you stay?”
Calvin’s eyes flashed with a hint of displeasure, and his tone turned icy,
“I told you from the beginning, it was all just a play. Don’t you understand what a contractual marriage mears? Let go!”
Seeing his sudden change in expression, Rosa was startled and quickly withdrew her hand.
“I understood, I’m sorry, Calvin… Mr. Gutierrez.”
After changing clothes, Calvin picked up his phone and walked straight out of the door.
He litted his foot and got in the car, instructing the driver to go home.
The watch displayed eight o’clock sharp, and Thad already missed the time I had agreed with Shyla.
Afraid that she was hiding and feeling sad all by herself, Calvin hesitated for a moment, but eventually decided to give her a call.
After waiting for a long time, it was indicated that the other party had turned off their phone.
When he dialed again, it still couldn’t get through
Calvin’s brow furrowed instantly, he sent a message, but there was no reply
He turned and made a phone call to the butler.
“Where is Shyla? Tell her to answer the phone.”
“She left more than an hour ago, carrying a suitcase. She might have gone out to paint.”
Drawing? It’s so dark on the road at this late hour, and the weather is so cold. Where can I go to draw?
Did he stand her up again? Is she angry again and starting to play the runaway game?
Remembering all the terrible things she had done over the years, running away from home seemed like a possibility.
Calvin fell an unnamed anger welling up in his chest, and he immediately called his assistant to ask her to track Shyla’s phone

Just as I was about to get angry, the phone in the villa rang

The butler’s wailing reached Calvin’s ears, and his blood instantly flowed backwards, causing his whole body to freeze.
The assistant, noticing that he looked unwell, immediately opened the car door and helped him sit inside, instructing the driver to hurry back home.
All the way, Calvin remained silent, his lips tightly pursed.
The assistant dared not even catch his breath on the side, and his heart was full of complaints.
No one understood better than them how important Ms. Moran was to Mr. Gutierrez.
If she ran away. Mr. Gutierrez would go everywhere to find her. If something happened to her, Mr. Gutierrez would probably kill the one who harmed her.
When the car drove into the villa, Calvin’s phone rang again. He answered it impatiently and heard Rosa sobbing
“Calvin, I twisted my foot, can you come and take a look at it?”
“Twisted your foot? Why didn’t you say you died!”
