Chapter 3
Shyla didn’t often go out on weekdays; most t of the time, she stayed in her studio.
In the blizzard weather, she still had to go out, which made Rosa curious as well.
“Shyla, you don’t have a boyfriend, why are you going out on a day like this?”
Shyla didn’t know how to say that she was leaving, so she blurted out, “L… have to go out for something”
Anyway, by the time the car arrives at the visa office, they probably would have known.
Rosa didn’t ask again and turned to chat with Calvin about today’s plans.
The fo
two people were chatting enthusiastically, seemingly forgetting that there was still someone sitting in the back seat.
At the red li
light, Rosa took out a lipstick and asked Calvin to touch up her makeup.
He did not refuse, holding her face gently and carefully.
As the two people were about to get close, Shyla turned to the side and looked out the window at the snow dancing.
When we were about to reach our destination, Rosa suddenly said she wanted to go back home to get a jacket
Looking at the navigation showing only two kilometers left, Calvin didn’t even think twice and directly said it was not on the way, asking Shyla to hall another car.
Shyla gave a bitter smile, said nothing, and got out of the car alone.
The black Cayenne raced away, splashing up a
up a trail of wind and snow.
There was no one on the road, and Shyla walked two kilometers on foot through the snow to the visa office and submitted all the
documents.
After she finished, she met her former high school homeroom teacher at the door, and the two of them exchanged a few pleasantries.
When she beard that she was going to move abroad, the head teacher’s face showed a look of surprise.
don’t plan to come back after going abroad? Will Calvin agree to that?
Shyla didn’t know why she suddenly brought up Calvin, so she had to tell a lie.
“Agreed, I have no blood relation with him, and I have also grown up. I can’t always bother him. It’s also good to go abroad and see the world.”
The head teacher nodded with a sigh, feeling a thousand emotions at once.
“Although there is no blood relation, Mr. Gutierrez really has nothing to say about you. Think about when you participated in the competition, being accused of plagiarism by several students from other schools, Calvin had appendicitis at that time, just came out of the operating table and rushed to the competition site to support you, when you fell down at school, Calvin didn’t care about his millions of dollars worth of deals, and ran over to take you to the hospital; when you were harassed by a few troublemakers, it was also Calvin who found someone to teach them a lesson…”
As Shyla listened to the homeroom teacher talking about the past, her thoughts were also drawn back to the past.
In the end, the homeroom teacher held her hand and earnestly reminded her to remember Calvin’s kindness and
Shyla nodded silently.

it well.
She had indeed made up her mind to repay him for all the kindness he had shown her over the years before leaving.
For him, the best reward would be the news of her departure.
That way, he would no longer have to worry about her clinging onto him.
After arriving home, Shyla changed out of her snow–soaked clothes and sat at her desk to start doing calculations.
She lived with the Gutierrez family for so many years, carefully monitoring the expenses every year and every month, and quickly estimated an approximate value.
he plans to return three times
In addition to the specific expenses, there are also many hidden costs that are difficult to calculate, so she plans this amount.
In the morning, she had already sorted out all the gifts that Calvin had given her and put them all up on the trading website.
Later, she contacted the real estate company and put a sign on the Motan family’s old house.
Having finished everything, she lay on the bed with a sense of relief, when suddenly her phone vibrated a few times.
Opening it, there were over a dozen photos sent by Rosa, along with a message.
“Shyla, Calvin and I are going to Westville to play for a few days. You have to behave yourself at home, okay.”
Without even clicking on it, Shyla knew that the photo was a lovey–dovey picture of Calvin
After all, ever since the two of them made their relationship public, Rosa would always send a bunch of photos like this after every date.
In the past, she would feel upset and have trouble sleeping when she saw these photos, crying until her eyes were swollen and red.
But now she has decided to only treat Calvin as a family member and will no longer be provoked by Rosa.
As for whether she did it intentionally or not, Shyla couldn’t be bothered to guess. She calmly replied with a past t
tense sentence.
“Okay, had a great time.”
