Jeffrey furrowed his brow and asked in respo
“Isn’t it?
“Brother?”
“Bella,” Jeffrey said, “I have seen all the photos you left for me.”
Bella’s expression did not change much, she just lightly said, “Oh.”
“But there were a few that were destroyed by Nicole.”
“Normal,” Bella said, “She was your wife, she could dispose of your things as she pleased.”
“She isn’t!” Jeffrey grasped her shoulders, explaining urgently, “Bella, I didn’t marry her. I called off the wedding as soon as I realized you were missing. I’ve been searching for you everywhere these past few days, and there was a girl who committed suicide wearing clothes you donated. I almost thought you were…
Bella frowned, “Brother, please let go, you hurt mel”
“Don’t call me brother anymore!”
Bella looked up at him and smiled, “Alright, Mr. Castro, is this okay?”
Jeffrey was furious: “Bella“”
Bella took a deep breath and slowly pried open the large hand that was gripping her shoulder. Then, she took a step back and stood beside Liam.
“I haven’t finished introducing yet,” Bella said. “Brother, this is my boyfriend, Liam.”
Liam was somewhat surprised
More surprised indeed was Jeffrey.
“How long did you know him before becoming boyfriend and girlfriend? Bella, don’t treat yourself as a joke!”
“Brother, it is not true that the longer you know someone, the stronger the relationship becomes.”
She hinted at something.
How could Jeffrey not understand?
He took a deep breath and calmed himself down, “Bella, can we have a good talk?”
“Bro, we didn’t have much to talk about anymore.”
“Your newlywed wife was still waiting for you, and I was doing well in Merribridge. I had a job and companionship. Thank you for taking care of me all these years. I will repay you and the Castro family.”
“What I wanted was never your reciprocation!”
“What do you want then?”
Jeffrey choked up.
He wanted her.
But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t bring himself to say anything to Bella, who looked at him with indifference.
“Brother, go back, you have already let down one woman, don’t let down another.”
“Nicole was never my woman, Bella, can you give me ten minutes, please? I want to explain it to you clearly.”
“I had something to do with my boyfriend, maybe next time.”
Bella gently pulled Liam, and he followed her as they left.
They walked a long way and Liam told her, “Your brother hadn’t left yet, he was still standing in the same place.

“Do we really not need to care about him? But he looks so lonely.”
Bella laughed and said, “He just got married and his wife is pregnant, how could he be lonely?”
Liam spent the whole afternoon accompanying her to go through the entire shopping mall.
Bella bought a lot of things, including her favorite anime figurines, wall paintings, and a huge teddy bear.
Bigger than Liam by a whole circle.
When he was carrying the big bear through the shopping mall, everyone was watching him.

Liam felt a little embarrassed and asked Bella, “Do I look funny?”
Bella didn’t say anything, and the two girls passing by next to her answered with a smile, “No, we think you must love your girlfriend very much.”
Liam’s face turned red all of a sudden.
He explained somewhat awkwardly, “I was hot, really, this bear was too warm.”
Bella couldn’t help but laugh.
Perhaps having such a simple and gentle boyfriend was indeed nice.
At least, she didn’t have to constantly guess whether he loved her or not. He proved it with his actions – “I like you.”
When Liam took her home, it was already dark.
Liam, being a gentleman, did not enter the home of the single girl. He simply helped her place all her belongings outside the front door.
Bella called him, “What are you doing standing outside? Come in.”
Liam still felt uneasy about it: “Bella, were the words you said today true?

“You said I was your boyfriend.”
Bella pondered for a moment and nodded heavily, “I accept your confession and appreciate your courage, but at this stage, I am only willing to give our relationship a try. It hasn’t reached the level of liking yet. If you don’t mind, we can slowly get to know each other.”
Liam was pleasantly surprised, “Really?”
Bella nodded with a smile, “Hmm.”

“I thought you were just trying to pick a fight with your brother and deliberately saying this to annoy him.”
Bella sighed, “If it were in the past, maybe I could.”
“And what about now?”
Bella said earnestly, “Now, I really want to start a new life.”
“Bella, you liked your brother, right?” Liam added, “In the past.”
Bella didn’t hide it from him either, she nodded and admitted, “Yes.”
She had thought that Liam would inquire about her current plans or be surprised by her inappropriate feelings for her brother.
When Liam was huffing and puffing to help her bring the big stuffed bear into the house, Bella couldn’t help but burst into laughter at his sweaty and panting appearance.
“What happened?”
Bella said, “I thought you would ask me if I still liked him.”
“Didn’t you say that? That was in the past,” Liam wiped the sweat off his face and said with a smile, “I believed you.”
