Chapter 2
“Valerie! Get up quickly for me!”
I don’t know how long it had been, but Malcolm’s furious voice woke me up.
I groggily opened my eyes, and he cursed while getting dressed.
“Ashley was admitted to the hospital due to an allergy. What did you put in the food you made?”
I was dragged into the car by him in a daze, and throughout the journey, Malcolm’s face was so gloomy that it could freeze
“You were already a mother, so please don’t do such sinful things in the future.”
Listening to the man’s complaints and grievances, my nails uncontrollably sank into my flesh.
“Do you really think it was me who caused all this trouble? If it was me, do you also believe that I did it on purpose?”
Malcolm snorted coldly. “Anyway, he doesn’t have good intentions.” After speeding all the way to the hospital, Malcolm quickly ran
I followed behind him and saw Ashley lying in his arms, crying with tears streaming down her face.
The inspection results came out, and it turned out that Ashley had eaten her own cake, which contained her allergen, peanut powder.

Malcolm on the phone was very angry: “I called you more than ten times, where are you?”
Strange, the person who never cared about where I went, suddenly kept asking me for my address.
I pressed my swollen head and said the name of the hotel.
When I finished getting ready to leave, Malcolm arrived just in time.
He opened the car door, and I waved my hand, saying, “I’m not going home.”
Malcolm was stunned: “Where did you go and what did you do?”
“I made an appointment with Molly to watch a movie.”
“Then I will take you there.”
I sat in the car with my eyes closed, resting. Malcolm handed me a bag
“The gift I gave you.”
I took a glance and it was a rather playful bracelet.
Above, there happened to be hanging the frog and pig ornaments that I disliked.
Ashley’s old trick, using the excuse of giving gifts, instigated an argument between me and Malcolm.
I opened the car window and casually threw it out.
