Chapter 4
When they arrived at the restaurant, the two of them had already gotten out of the car. They were holding hands and sticking closely together.
When they entered behind them, the waiter coming towards them said to the two of them.
“Sir and Miss, your reserved seats are over here.”
Ashley giggled softly.
Malcolm seemed a bit awkward as he reached out his hand to pull me, but I had already walked past him.
After I took a seat, I ordered a few dishes that I love to eat.
Malcolm blurted out without thinking, “Don’t order shrimp, Ashley doesn’t like to eat shrimp.”
My finger that was ordering paused for a moment.
Ashley’s lips curved into a sweet smile as she happily ordered several dishes that Malcolm loved.
The two of them were deeply in love, and the waiter brought some drinks that needed to be ignited.
Ashley found it amusing and snatched the lighter to light it herself. The waiter looked besitant, while Malcolm simply waved his hand confidently.
“Let her play, we’ll give her money.”
So, the waiter brought a table full of cocktails.
1 kept my head down and ate throughout.
Ashley lit the fire while holding her phone to take pictures.
Suddenly, a terrified scream rang
When I looked up, I saw Malcolm swinging the tilted glass aside.
The alcohol ignited and burned into a blaze.
1, who was sitting on the inside, couldn’t dodge in time, and my sleeve suddenly caught fire.
When I was trembling with fear, I managed to extinguish the fire on my clothes.
I discovered that Malcolm was holding Ashley and comforting her softly.
1 felt a burning pain in my arm, and when I looked down, the wound was visibly swollen.
I walked briskly towards the bathroom, and as I passed Malcolm, he appeared visibly startled.
“What happened to your arm?
Before I could even speak, Ashley suddenly went crazy and pushed him away, running out.
Without any hesitation, Malcolm followed closely behind. I calmly went to the bathroom and splashed cold water on my face. By the time I came out, the two of them had already disappeared without a trace.
So I took a taxi back home.
At two o’clock in the middle of the night, Malcolm woke me up.
He looked at my arm with concern and said, “You didn’t use anesthesia when you applied the medicine, did you? I heard that medicine is not good for children”
I almost laughed when I heard it, he actually cared about the child?
I waved my hand indifferently and turned around to continue sleeping
Malcolm got angry and asked, “Do you still have the demeanor of a mother, not caring about anything?
The nauseating feeling that was swirling in my mind grew heavier and heavier, but I suppressed it.
I pushed his hand away with disgust as he tried to examine my wound.
“You have the nerve to mention the child? It was you who kicked me out late at night, and it was you who played around with Ashley, Now you’re worried about him.
A flash of shame crossed Malcolm’s face as he coldly said, “Enough, why dredge up these old accounts.”
I had originally planned to say it later, but when faced with the aggressive Malcolm, I suddenly had enough
I suppressed the tears welling up in the corners of my eyes and said slowly, “The child is gone”
There was no sadness or anger as I had imagined, Malcolm laughed and calmly looked at me.
That expression clearly wrote three words didn’t believe.
Also, in his eyes, I didn’t even dare to kill an ant, so how could I possibly have the heart to harm my own child?
But all of this was thanks to him, a desperate mother can do anything
I didn’t want
at to say much, so I walked to another room with the blanket,
As he watched my back, Malcolm suddenly grabbed my wrist and asked, “Where did Banjo go?”
I broke free from his wrist and didn’t even look back, saying, “I went to a friend’s house to play.”
Malcolm frowned, lying alone in bed, with his right eyelid twitching.
He remembered my abnormal behavior these past few days and suddenly felt anxious, unable to fall asleep.
But soon be sneered, I had always been a pushover in front of him.
How could it be possible to really leave him, so he breathed a sigh of relief and slept peacefully
