Chapter 2 Teaching The Wicked Mother–in–Law A Lesson
Yvonne glanced at her watch. “It’s 10:43 pm.”
Without saying another word, she turned and left the bedroom, closing the door behind her.
Once again, lewd sounds came from the room, mixed with Shane’s coaxing voice.
“Maggie, just ignore her. This kind of woman won’t leave even if I beat her half to death. She’s not as capable as you. Think about it. What can she do
without me?
The company will do very well in no time. If she doesn’t behave, I’ll really kick her out and see how she and her father survive.”
Maggie asked in a soft voice, “Shane, what about me?”
Shane replied gently, “Whatever you want, I’ll give it to you…”
Yvonne sat on the living room sofa, holding back her disgust, and poured herself a glass of red wine.
The wine reflected the light, and she saw her distorted face in the glass, finding it more and more ridiculous the longer she looked.
Three years of sincere treatment was all just a joke.
He had carefully woven so many illusions, and she had stepped into them without hesitation.
After a moment of silence, Yvonne made her first phone call.
“I need to move out. Come over in twenty minutes with gloves and chainsaws.”
The person on the other end paused before decisively replying, “Okay!”
As soon as the call ended, Yvonne heard faint footsteps.
“Yvonne, weren’t you going on a trip? Why are you back?” Tricia tiptoed out of her room, instinctively glancing towards the master bedroom.
Yvonne bitterly smiled.
She hadn’t cried or made a scene, yet Tricia knew she was back, so how could Tricia not know her son had brought his mistress into the house?
She bluntly said, “There’s a woman in Shane’s room.”
Caught off guard, Tricia awkwardly smiled.
Her face was originally round, but this smile revealed some wrinkles.
“Shane has always been well–behaved. He just made a foolish mistake sometimes. Don’t take it to heart.”
Yvonne sipped her wine. “Yeah, I don’t mind.”
“That’s good!”
Tricia breathed a sigh of relief, her face brightening up as she grinned from ear to ear. “Oh, it’s all because Shane is so charming. Otherwise, why would any woman be interested in him? In other words, you’re lucky to be married to such a capable man. If only I had known…”
She suddenly stopped.
“Known what?” Yvonne’s slender fingers tightly gripped the wine glass, and her almond–shaped eyes narrowed with a hint of sharpness.
“Known that I don’t mind, you didn’t have to go through so much trouble to hide it, right?”
As soon as Tricia heard that, her face immediately fell, not a single wrinkle showing.
“What are you talking about? I did it for the family. If you and Shane get a divorce and cause trouble at home, it will definitely affect Rhett’s studies.”
Yvonne felt she had been too sentimental.
Apparently, in their hearts, she wasn’t even considered a stepping stone. Instead, she was just a factor that could affect their mood.
She had really shown them too much respect.
Ignoring Tricia, Yvonne made her second phone call.
“You said you liked the location of my house, didn’t you? Prepare the contract, and I can transfer it to you now.”
The person on the other end was rendered confused.
Tricia’s face darkened, and her harsh gaze fell on Yvonne’s face before she flew into a rage.
“Yvonne, you better understand this. This is the matrimonial home my son and you share. It’s your joint property! If it weren’t for this house, he wouldn’t have married you…
Yvonne said to the person on the other end of the phone. “Ill transfer it at half price.”
The other party over the phone, Yvonne’s friend and subordinate, was completely bewildered.
“Did you say it wrong, or did I mishear?”
In this mother–in–law and daughter–in–law battle, she, as an outsider, was getting the benefit?
il
Was Yvonne trying to set a trap for her to fall into?

Tricia was so anxious that she stomped, almost choking on her breath, her face turning livid. “Are you crazy? You try selling it!”
This house was located in the Fuilver economic center, with a total price of over 80 million. Due to the scarcity of housing, the people who lived here were either rich or noble. It was a symbol of status in Fuilver, with a high demand but limited supply!
But Yvonne dared to sell it, even at half price!
“My son has a share in this house. What right do you have to transfer it? If you want to sell the house, you have to sell it for at least 90 million, and I’ll keep the money!”
Yvonne didn’t make eye contact with Tricia as she continued on the phone, “Gift.”
The other party over the phone was shocked.
Damn it! Must go for it even if it was a trap!
Burning with anger, Tricia felt darkness came over her eyes and passed out.
“Mom!”
The commotion in the living room made Shane lose his patience.
He rushed out of the bedroom in a bathrobe, immediately supported Tricia, and without a word, raised his hand to smack Yvonne across the face.
“Bitch!”
