Elowen pressed his lips together and put his phone away, trying to act indifferent as he said, “She can reply or not, it’s not worth worrying about. In the meantime, why don’t I spend some time with you?”
Upon hearing this, Maya smiled with satisfaction and planted a kiss on Elowen’s face.l
In the following days. Elowen stayed by Maya’s side, the two of them acting like young lovers in the hospital room. However, Elowen would occasionally take out his phone and check my chat window. Each time he saw that I hadn’t replied, his expression would turn darker
Time passed quickly and on the seventh day, Maya couldn’t pretend any longer. She feigned recovery and told Elowen that she wanted to be discharged. Little did she know, Elowen also wanted to go home by this point. It had been seven days since I last responded to him and he was really eager to know what I had been up to, why I had stayed angry for so long and still hadn’t replied to a single message.
After completing the discharge formalities, Elowen immediately took Maya back to their parent’s house, then headed straight for our home.E
He pushed the door open and walked in, only to find the room empty. It wasn’t like he had imagined, where he would see me there
He found it strange and quickly made his way upstairs to the bedroom. He opened the door, only to find the room empty once again.X
Moreover it seemed like most of the things in the room were gone.!!
A sense of foreboding washed over him. He hurried over to the wardrobe, opening it and found that, aside from his own clothes, there were no traces of my belongings.X
Elowen stood frozen, as though something had paralyzed him. It took him a long time to snap out of it. He quickly took out his phone and called one of the servants. “Where is Callista?”
“She left seven days ago and hasn’t come back. When I asked where she went, she didn’t say anything. Didn’t she tell you about it?” the servant answered truthfully.”
Hearing this, Elowen’s face went pale instantly. He forcefully shoved the servant aside, shouting, “Didn’t I tell you that she must inform me immediately wherever she goes? Did you take my words as a joke? What are you standing there for? Go find her right now, or pack your things and get out!”
The servant shrank back and scrambled out of the room.l
Elowen took out his phone, preparing to contact his subordinates to search for my whereabouts, but his gaze unintentionally fell on a contract lying on the desk.
He quickly stepped forward, grabbing the contract and looking at it. The words “Divorce Agreement were clearly written on it. His face changed dramatically.K
He quickly flipped the contract to the last page and when he saw my name there, he immediately ripped the contract to pieces.
He couldn’t understand it. I loved him so much, so why would I ask for a divorce? Was it just because of what happened seven days ago when he kicked me?
