Chapter 15
I dreamed of Alpha Lucas once more.
In fragmented scenes, my heart raced with each moment.
In my dream, it was the day after Alpha Lucas had saved me from bullying. I sat by the window, watching Alpha Lucas from the neighboring class dash out of the classroom. The wind gently swept his hair back, and his face was full of youthful enthusiasm, with the sunlight perfectly illuminating him. Alpha Lucas and I sat together on the grass, talking. I shared with him the unhappiness of my family, and he was silent for a long time. When I looked at him, feeling uneasy, his gentle eyes met mine. He said, “Emily, I’ll give you a home.”
I dreamed of our wedding, where he slipped a ring onto my finger and pressed his lips gently to my hand. “Emily, I’ve captured you.”
In another dream, we had moved into a new house, and he placed the keys in my palm. “Emily, this will be our home.”
The fragments of the dream were so filled with happiness that I woke up smiling. Alpha Lucas called me, his voice as gentle as in my dreams.

choked with emotion, trying to win me back.
“I just dreamed about you,” I told him softly.
He was as excited as if he had found treasure. “Luna Emily, let’s start over, okay?”
Holding the phone, I spoke softly. “I just remembered you, not missed you.”
“Alpha Lucas, don’t flatter yourself.”
I preferred the Alpha Lucas from my dreams, cherished those sweet and beautiful
memories.
But it was too late to return.
“Alpha Lucas, it’s too late.”
I ended the call and looked out at the bright sunlight. A beam of sunlight fell across my
