The following day I woke up with a bright smile on my face as I opened my wardrobe and found out there wasn’t any suitable dress that could wear to the wedding party tonight.
“I’m going dress shopping!” I called out to my brother who was so busy playing games.

I knew my parents had left for work early. They were trying to arrange things so that once I settled down I would take over the company
I decided to go to the mall without my driver today and I contemplated which mall to shop in until I saw Lance’s message pop up on my phone. I can’t even recall exchanging contact yesterday.

I smiled even though I was trying to hide it before I decided to utilize the free shopping he offered me. I arrived at the mall and was welcomed by the staff who told me to select whatever I wanted.
Grinning at their warm gesture I started browsing through each outfit when I caught sight of someone behind

Immediately I saw her she seemed to notice I was staring at her and walked toward me with a smirk, her bulging

She was already crying as she held her underbelly while moving away from me. Tremained standing without moving an inch as I glared at her.
“You can’t even take half the shit you’ve dished out to me,” I scoffed
“Wait till I tell Drew about this, he will ruin you,” she cried, “He has a huge deal coming up. Once he signs it you’ll be beneath him and he will crush you.

Kira cried and ran out of the mall while I chuckled before heading to get some dresses. She probably thought i was the same girl as before. The girl who they could talk to and bully anyhow. But they were in for a huge surprise.
As I selected the last dress I heard footsteps behind me just in time to see Kira crying and heading toward me with Andrew who looked furious.

Once upon a time, I would have jumped into his arms, hell, those were the same words he used when he wanted to marry me but right now those words meant nothing to me.

I stared at the woman standing before me, her eyes flashing with so much hatred and anger I’ve never seen

Then I watched as she walked away and headed to the counter. The receptionist smiled politely at her and packaged her clothes without asking her for a dime then she walked out.
“What the fuck just happened?” I wondered, surprised
“You fucked up, that’s what happened!” Kira yelled at me.
I frowned as I turned to look at her, suddenly realizing she was there.
“See how I was humiliated because of you, I snapped at her
“Humiliated? She slapped me!” Kira cried
I sighed and hugged her, “Stop crying, I’m sorry I was just taken by surprise when I saw her
“You were supposed to get her to apologize to me but you let her go,” she cried
I was getting tired of her pregnancy hormones making her acts irrational. I let out a deep breath and held her.
“Let’s just go. We have a big night so nothing will ruin it,” I said to her.
Kira nodded with a smile, “Then after tonight, Lily will run back to you begging
Deep inside, I had a feeling that Lily wouldn’t come running, not the same person I had seen tonight but I decided to hold out hope.
Hed Kira outside as we hailed a cab that took us back to the hotel. I was still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Lily is in Miami. For three years we lived together it never occurred to me to find out where she lives mostly because she never talks about her family.
“What are you thinking about?” Kira’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts.
I shrugged, “I need to know what’s going on with Lily. She’s not supposed to be this jealous, Kira. It’s unlike her.”
Kira avoided my gaze and nodded. “Yes, of course.”
I frowned, “What did you do? What exactly happened that day that we left the house?”
Kira started crying, “I told you all that happened. Lily was furious when I went to wake her up, she pushed me and

I sighed and patted Kira’s hair, “It’s alright, I’m sorry for doubting you I guess you’re right and Lily is jealous. I’ll have to try and discuss it with her.”
Kira frowned, “How will you do that? Who knows what she’s doing back here, Drew What if she tries to hurt me?” “Lily isn’t going to hurt you,” I said with conviction
Kira arched a brow at me, “Are you sure about that? I mean she just slapped both of us so bad her handprints are
on our cheeks.”
I cleared my throat, “Okay, then I’ll try talking to her first so we can clear out all this divorce shit”
“Maybe you should sign the divorce, Drew,” Kira said quietly
Ifrowned, “And why would I do that, Kira? Lily is my wife and I’m not getting divorced from her.”
“But she wants one and she hurt you. It’s clear her interest isn’t vested in the marriage any more,” Kira stated.
I hated to admit it but Kira was right but it still didn’t make my confusion lessen, I knew I had to speak to Lily after the event tonight. I’ll just find someone that’ll find her.
“Maybe it’s time you move on, Drew, I’m here for you,” Kira whispered as she touched my arm lightly
I frowned, pulling away from her. Something about the way she touched me feels wrong.
“Kira, I hope you understand that I’m only helping you because you’re my best friend and I promised your late father I’ll take care of you,” I stated, just to be clear
Kira smiled, “Yes, Drew. I’m grateful for your help which is why I don’t wanna see you get hurt.”
I smiled, it felt like a relief that she understood my motive. Every once in a while, Kira would try to touch me in a weird way and I’d remind her that I’m still married.
“Don’t worry, I know how to handle Lily,” I said
Kira stood up abruptly before she returned with two cups of tea
“It’s cinnamon tea, it calms the nerves,” she said to me.
I shrugged as I took the tea and finished it. Twenty minutes later I felt a familiar sensation as the room spun and everywhere suddenly became warm.
“I’m here now,” Lily’s voice suddenly sounded in the room.
