Chapter 10
As the car rolled up the grand driveway of the Wilford estate, I couldn’t stop.
fidgeting with the bracelet on my wrist.
The thought of facing Zack and Stella again. made my chest ache.
“You‘ re gorgeous, you know that?” Rojen’s voice broke through my spiraling thoughts.
I turned to look at him, startled by the sincerity in his expression. His eyes were warm, steady, as if he could see the storm brewing inside me and wasn’t fazed by it.
“Stella and Zack?” he said, a smirk tugging at his lips. “They‘ re nothing compared to you. You‘ re not Harriet anymore. You‘ re Amber Colen. Powerful, untouchable, and worthy of every bit of respect in that room.”
“Yes.” I nodded and smiled. “You‘ re right. I should stop worrying.”

The estate was alive with activity, staff bustling about as we entered the grand hall. Rojen guided me through the crowd.
Then I saw them.
Zack and Stella stood near the dining room entrance, their laughter cutting through the hum of conversation. Zack‘ s eyes locked onto mine, his expression darkening, Stella followed his gaze, her smile vanishing as she spotted me.
“What are you doing here?” she hissed, stepping forward.
I smiled sweetly, tilting my head. “Have you forgotten, Stella? I’m Rojen’s fiancée.”
Her lips curled in disdain, but before she could respond, I added, “Don’t worry, we’ll be announcing our engagement to the world soon. Though… you might not be invited.”
The mockery in my tone hit its mark. Stella’s hand shot up, her intent clear, but before the slap could land, a booming voice

cut through the tension.
“What do you think you‘ re doing here?”
Everyone froze as Don Roxas, the Wilford patriarch, strode into the room. His sharp eyes swept over the scene, landing first on me, then on Stella.
Stella straightened, her hand dropping as she seized the opportunity. “Yes, exactly! What is she doing here? She’s not welcome-”
“Silence,” Roxas barked, cutting her off. His gaze bore into her. “I wasn‘ t talking to Amber. I was talking to you, Stella. What are you doing here?”
Stella’s face turned red.
Zack stepped forward, defending her.
“She’s my date, Grandfather.”
Roxas s expression darkened. “Escort her out immediately.”
“Grandfather, that’s unnecessary,” Zack argued, but Roxas silenced him with a

glare.
“Unnecessary?” Roxas spat. “She’s the reason for the scandal dragging our family’s name through the mud. She dared to steal another woman‘ s husband and treat Amber like a blood bank. And you brought her here?”
Stella opened her mouth, but I stepped forward, raising a hand to stop her. “It‘ s fine,” I said, my voice calm but laced with sarcasm. “It doesn’t matter now. We all
make mistakes, don‘ t we?”
Roxas glanced at me, his expression. softening slightly.
“Maybe we can all just move on and enjoy dinner together,” I continued, my smile
cold.
Roxas nodded approvingly. “You should be thankful Amber is far kinder than you deserve, Stella. All along, I thought you
were an angel. Turns out, you‘ re nothing but a demon.”

Stella‘ s jaw tightened, but she said nothing.
Dinner was tense. As the main course was served, the topic inevitably shifted to business. Roxas leaned back in his chair, swirling his wine. “The Colen family has been making impressive moves recently,” he said, glancing at me. “Perhaps we can work together to help Wilford Construction recover. After all, Amber will soon be part of the family when she marries Rojen, and you said that we should be in peace, so maybe, you can give them some projects?”
I stiffened, Zack‘ s gaze burning into me from across the table. His company was suffering from the fallout of my revenge, and he knew I held all the cards.
I tapped my glass, thinking carefully before speaking. “I might consider that,” I said
slowly, “but only under one condition.”
Roxas raised a brow. “And what condition is that?”

I turned my attention to Zack, smirking. “Zack has to break up with Stella. Permanently.”
The table fell silent for a while as Zack and
I stared each other down.
Roxas broke the silence with a sharp laugh, raising his glass. “A fair deal, I’d say. Zack, it’s time you cleaned up your mess. After all, I won’t give you our main company after what happened-”
“What?” Zack yelled standing up. “What do you mean by that? Don‘ t tell me ”
“I’m going to give it to Rojen because you know the reason why Zack, and the least thing you can do is to make sure that subsidiary of our company will rise again, otherwise, I might forget you‘ re a Wilford.”
“That’s unfair-”
“I can help,” I interrupted. “You see, we used to be a couple, Zack, so I still care for you. But only if you remove that woman
