Chapter 3
Harold pretended to have come back from hunting
I endured the pain in my legs and sped up to take a shortcut back to the cave before him.
He gently lassed me awake.
1 stretched my lazy waist, and he opened his hands.
There was a little rabbit in the palm of the hand.
“Danna, do you want to vent? Do you like it?”
I endured the surging disgust in my heart.
The rabbit was loved by Alicia.
She liked to say that even rabbit meat was not allowed in our house
Otherwise, she would cry and complain to the heavens and the earth, saying that I am cruel and bullying her!
Therefore, I was punished for three nights and not allowed to sit at the table for dinner.
Harold put th
the rabbit into my arms and said, “It will keep you company while I go out bunting.”
I forced a smile.
Looking at the pile of meat he had placed on the ground, be casually asked, “What kind of meat is that?”
Harold casually replied, “Dog.”
I almost didn’t throw up.
The day before yesterday, we were already eating that kind of meat
A resentment burned in his heart.
He did it on purpose!
I clearly told him that my best friend before was a little dog!
“Why

do you want to par…” Iclenched my teeth, wanting to speak but stopping myself.
Harold said matter–of–factly, “Without food, we hunted and ate whatever we could to survive.”
He never went hunting, he was clearly just tormenting me.
There was so much meat, and he just had to choose the one I couldn’t bear the most.
Okay, since he wanted to act.
I cooperated with him.
In the evening, clung to Harold, showering him with sweet words and cuddles.
In the midst of his confusion and infatuation, I brought up again the idea of building a boat to lea
Harold suddenly pushed me.
I squeezed out a few tears.
“Won’t you come home with me to meet my parents?”
He randomly reached out and wiped away my tears.
“It’s not… good, I’ll help you”
to leave the island.
Harold took the initiative to move several large wooden boards to the entrance of the cave and claimed that he was going to build a ship.
Before dawn, he told me with a look of regret, “The boards have been bitten by wild animals and can’t be used anymore.”
I threw myself into his arms in grief.
Harold patted me gently, comforting me for a long time.

Little did I know, what I wanted was not a piece of wood
But it was the rope that bound the planks together.
Besides the wooden board, I had already started secretly doing rehabilitation while he pretended to go hunting
He was completely unaware of all this.
As usual, bring a steaming bowl of herbal soup
I stared at the medicine for a long time.
Harold told me that it was not easy to gather these herbs,
One time he almost fell off a cliff, and he insisted that I finish my drink.
Seeing me distracted, Harold frowned and said, “Take your medicine, that’s the only way to get better quickly.”
“Danna, when you recover from your illness, I will take you to see the scenery.”
He, a newly learned speaker of the wild man, has always been sparing of words to me.
But these days, in order to hide the truth from Alicia, there were more and more sweet words to coax people.
I shook my head while holding a coconut bowl.
“Moyer, this medicine is so bitter, I really don’t want to drink it anymore.”
He didn’t allow me to call him “Harold“, only allowing me to address him by his last name.
I remembered Alicia saying “Harold” repeatedly, feeling a tinge of bitterness.
Harold insisted on feeding me.
I coldly said, “The dose makes the poison. Aren’t you afraid of side effects from drinking too much?”
Upon hearing about the side effects, Harold hesitated.
He grinned and pretended to be relaxed.
