Overjoyed by the news, Julian resolved to search for her online if he couldn’t find her domestically. However, he discovered that Hillary had established charity organizations not only within the country but also internationally
across the globe.
The latest news revealed that she had been interviewed by foreign journalists three days prior, yet this hadn’t
caused a stir in the country. This realization filled him with a sense of bitterness.
She was smiling in the video. Her delicate features were radiant as she spoke fluent foreign language. The

moment Julian saw her, his lifeless heart reignited. It was her! She had always been there; he had been too blind to
see it
Filled with regret, Julian hastily booked a flight abroad. As he boarded the plane, his heart trembled with an uncontrollable urgency. He could no longer contain himself and burst into tears in his seat. Julian wiped his red eyes. Now, his eyes hardened with resolve. “Hillary, I’m coming for you.”
At the estate, kittens darted playfully around as Hillary poured food into their bowls. While doing so, she listened to a call from her mother. She smiled, reaching out to tease a kitten, until she heard her mother say, “Julian has gone abroad. I think he might have found out.”
Hillary’s expression faltered, though she wasn’t entirely surprised. Three years ago, after she had left, she unexpectedly tracked down the very people Willow had once hired to humiliate her. They had escaped overseas and lived a carefree life. Hillary didn’t alert them but instead gathered evidence before reporting them to the police and having them arrested.
But never in her wildest imagination did she expect Julian to come looking for her. In her mind, he should have been happily married to Willow Scott by now. Thankfully, she had hidden herself well and she wanted no more entanglements with him.
At first, Hillary thought he would give up after some time, but as his obsession grew, she found herself resorting to wearing masks whenever she stepped outside. Most days, she remained within the safety of her estate.
Even during business meetings, she concealed her identity After all, in this digital age, finding someone wasn’t tricky. Yet, how long could he really persist? She never expected him to be still searching after three years.
She had long since let go, now feeling only indifference and silence. Her tone was calm as she spoke, “As long as we’re alive, we’re bound to run into each other eventually”
Since she couldn’t avoid it forever, she would face it head–on. She had no desire to see Julian, but hiding from him forever wasn’t realistic. So, when he sought her out, she didn’t refuse. Instead, she agreed to meet him.
In the coffee shop, she looked at Julian in a leisurely manner and said in a gentle tone. “What do you want to see me for?”
Julian had been staring at her intently. Three years had aged him considerably while she remained unchanged, still beautiful and composed. Perhaps even more elegant and gentle than she had been three years prior
It turned out that she was pleased without him. Julian closed his eyes, feeling bitter and aching in his heart. He stared at her without blinking. “Hillary, how have you been these years?”
He secretly vowed in his heart that as long as they were together, he would ensure that she would be even happier than she was now,
Hillary, who had been sipping her coffee, slowly raised her eyes to meet his. She was slightly surprised that he would ask such a question. “Julian, I’ve been doing very well. It would have been even better if you hadn’t come looking for me”
Those simple words pierced Julian’s heart like a sharp blade. How could she be so cruel?
