Chapter 70
The three of them stared at Regina in astonishment
She held the necklace up to the sunlight as she said, “Is this a natural gem?”
Julian hadn’t expected her to be this delighted. Instead, he felt a bit awkward. “Yes, it’s a real stone.
Regina’s eyes lit up. It must be expensive, right?”
“Not really” Julian shook his head. “It only costs six, figures.”
Regina widened her eyes.
Six figures!!
When she fought in underground matches, she only earned 6 thousand per win–and that was at the risk of her life!
“Can you help me put it on?” She really liked the necklace.
Julian was still feeling conflicted, but he didn’t want to refuse her. With a somewhat stiff expression, he picked up the necklace
Julian
His hands, used to handling guns, seemed clumsy at this delicate task as he struggled with the tiny clasp.
Regina wasn’t in a rush either as she opened her phone’s camera and used it as a mirror.
The bluish–green gemstone adorned her.
Behind her, Julian was focused on fastening the necklace.
He was still dressed in his bomb squad uniform, the ornate badge on his chest symbolizing his rank.
And yet, he was struggling with a necklace clasp as if it were an exceptionally complicated task
The more he struggled, the tighter his brows knitted together.
Regina found it amusing.
The man she had only seen on TV was now standing right behind her.
She could even cauch a faint scent of mint emanating from him, likely from his body wash,
Regina’s lips curled up into smile as she said, “Captain Hayes.”
In the meantime, Julian had just finished with the clasp. When he heard her calling his name, he looked up in confusion, only to meet the phone’s reflection.
It was then he realized how they looked and instantly stiffened.
Thank you.” Regina gave him a sweet smile

Julian was stummed
At the same time, Stephen looked at his phone in disbelief. “The brother gained 13 points in just one goin
Liam frowned and said displeasingly, “It should be ten points for the jewelry and three points for the action.”
Stephen clutched his face in regret and said, “I should’ve bought her gemstones too!”
“What’s he saying?” Regina glanced at Stephen, who was dramatically flailing around.
“Nothing” Julian glanced at his brother. “Don’t mind him.”
Regina nodded and carefully admired the gemstone she wore.

Seeing her like this, a subtle sense of accomplishment crept into Julian’s heart, and his smile deepened. “Do you like gemstones?”
“Yes! I like gemstones!” She nodded vigorously.
Julian discreetly covered his mouth to hide the upward curve of his lips.
He felt that Regina was a child since she was clearly delighted with the gemstone he gave her even though she always claimed she wanted to bear him up.
As he turned around happily, he realized that Liam and Stephen were glaring at him coldly.
They crossed their arms and said fiercely. “You’re secretly smiling, aren’t you?”
Julian was taken aback. Then, he raised an eyebrow and said, “How could I he secretly laughing?”
Then, he lowered his hand, not even bothering to hide his smile. This is an open and honest smile.”
Looking at his actions, Liam and Stephen were speechless.
Turning back to Regina, Julian said. “By the way, I need to discuss something important with you. Since you’re the first Level 10 combat cyborg host in Dainville, the city has decided to place you under supervision. I’ll be your primary supervisor. From now on, all your activities and modifications will be under my monitoring to prevent large–scale harm to others.”
“Okay” Regina nodded without hesitation.
“You’re not against it?” asked Julian.
Stephen and Liam were also very surprised by her reaction.
Yesterday, they had all assumed Regina would resist such restrictions.
Sensing their puzzled looks. Regina asked, “If I object, will in stop you from monitoring me?”
“No,” replied Julian
“Then why ask? Regina scoffed.
Julian was at a loss for words.
Then he handed her a tablet to sign the agreement and a bracelet for tracking.
“After signs
signing the contract, all your movements will be monitored. You’ll have no personal freedom, so be mentally prepared.”
Regina didn’t hesitate as she strapped on the bracelet and placed her hand of the tablet for scanning
A blue light swept across her palm, revealing her profile:
[Regina Sherman, formerly known as Regina Mitchell Level ten combat cyborg host]
[Danger Level: Eight]
Looking at the profile, Regina smiled happily.
Combat cyborgs were graded from Level I to Level 8, with 8 being the most dangerous.

A Level 8 cyborg could single–handedly massacre everyone in a shopping
The bomb squad was primarily tasked with handling Level 4 to Level 8 cyborgs
Julian, being one of the top–tier officers, specialized in dealing with Level 8 threats.
Yet, she was classified as Level 8 just for being a Level 10 cyborg host while remaining fully rational.
She loved how intimidating this designation sounded.

At that moment, the Hayes brothers were dumbfounded. 2/3

They didn’t understand why did her score increase again.
Outside the hospital. Preston jumped down from a hover car.
Striding quickly, his golden hair tousled by the wind. He glanced back at Roy and the others as he talked about Regina’s Humanity. “At 3.30 am. yesterday, Regina’s Humanity rose by 3 points. This morning, it went up by another 3. Just now, it spiked by 10, then 3, and now another 1! Her total points is 31.7
He was furious. “Who is secretly increasing her Humanity behind my back?”
“It might be Aunt Scarlett, Roy said with a grim expression.
Steve appeared beside them like a ghost. “It’s not her. She had an emergency trip abroad last night. Even if she wanted to check on Regina, she could only do so remotely. There’s no way she could influence her score in real–time.”
Roy and Preston stared at him in shock.
Xavier’s lips twitched as he asked, “When did you get here, Steve?”
Just now. My hover car w
car was right behind yours, Steve replied with a blank expression.
“Are you here to check on Regina’s Humanity too?” asked Xavier.
Steve didn’t deny it, though his face turned even darker. “I need to know who caused her score to increase by 3 points at 3:30 am. What were they doing at that hour?”
Quickening his pace, he overtook Preston and marched straight to Regina’s hospital room.
Coincidentally, the Hayes brothers were just leaving her room.
Ar that moment, they bumped right into the other group.
Julian!‘ Steve was shocked.
Julian still had a faint smile on his face. “Steve!”
Steve felt an uncontrollable sense of unease creeping u
up on him.
These three were his closest friends, so he knew how exceptional they were.
As he thought about it, his expression turned sour. Then, he said, “Why are you coming out of Regina’s room?”
“Regina is a key supervision target for the bomb squad. I’m her supervising officer. The matter is settled. I need to write my report. Let’s talk tonight, replied Julian.
After speaking, he brushed past Steve
Suddenly, Steve asked. “Where were you
