After my death.
My best friend Celia appeared at the hospital.
The last message I had sent her before I died was to ask her to fulfill one final wish for me.
Alpha Logan was like a hollow puppet, his eyes devoid of life, his face unshaven, as if he had aged ten years overnight. He tried to speak in his defense but found himself at a loss for words.
It wasn’t until Celia, following my final wish, tried to take me for cremation that Alpha Logan’s expression shifted, his swollen eyes reddened.

“I beg you, you can’t do this!”
Celia’s eyes were filled with despair as she slapped Alpha Logan across the face, holding back tears. “You killed Melissa! You’re a murderer! What right do you have to be sad?!”
“You embraced another woman, you lay in someone else’s arms, you cared for your child–did you ever think about Melissa? Now she’s gone, and you’re pretending to be deeply emotional for her? Who are you fooling?”
Alpha Logan was like a lost soul, clutching his chest as he fell to his knees, crying uncontrollably.

“If you truly loved Melissa, then give her a proper funeral.”
My funeral was grand, as Alpha Logan honored me with dignity and buried me as
husband. All the relatives and friends who sought to rise by attaching to The Crystal Blood Pack came over, pretending to
mourn.
My mother–in–law’s face was the most unpleasant. “Your pup was just born. Why are you arranging a funeral for her? Isn’t it bad luck?”
She found it unlucky, so she didn’t even bring her grandson along.

even though she was physically weak after giving birth, she insisted on attending the funeral. Her pale face seemed as if she could collapse at any moment, but she still pushed herself to speak kindly of.
“Mom, Since Luna Melissa has passed away, just let Alpha Logan have his way to accompany her on her final journey. Just let him be.” she said, her voice soft and gentle. She looked every bit the picture of a caring and virtuous woman–who could see her and not praise her for her grace and kindness?
Alpha Logan tore Joanna’s hand away, struggling to contain his temper. “Both of you, leave. Melissa wouldn’t want to see you.”

I eagerly hoped Celia would hurry up. I wanted to unveil these love rats ‘s true faces at my funeral.
In the church, a video was being played on the projector.
There were photos of Alpha Logan supporting Joanna, shopping for baby supplies together. Photos of them decorating their new home, strolling hand–in–hand in the neighborhood, and
photos showing my mother–in–law doting on Joanna. Then came the photos of Joanna holding her newborn son.

taken with my own hands, despite my frail body. I had carefully arranged them. The hospital photos of Joanna had been taken by Celia and included at the end.
“Mom, what if Alpha Logan refuses to acknowledge this child?”
Joanna’s voice echoed through the room.
My mother–in–law arrogantly responded, “It’s his child; how could he deny it? Melissa is dead now. You just focus on being Luna of The Crystal Blood Pack!”
A stir spread through the crowd. People who had always assumed my mother–in–law and Joanna were close, thinking it was out of friendship that she had taken such special care of her, now realized that Joanna was carrying the heir of Alpha Logan.

My mother–in–law, furious and embarrassed, shouted, “Who did this? Shut it off
immediately!”
Celia, with her fiery temper, stepped forward, her voice loud and accusing. “What’s this? You two–mother and son–were keeping a mistress behind Melissa’s back, and for her, you drove Melissa to her death, and now you’re in the right?”
My mother–in–law rushed at her, but how could she possibly compete with Celia? She was quickly shoved to the ground, and in a panic, my mother–in–law shouted at Alpha Logan.
“Get her out of here! What are you standing there for?!”
I crouched next to Alpha Logan, watching as tears blurred his eyes, his body motionless

as though lost in thought. I wondered what was going on in his mind. He had become nothing more than a shell of a man.
Perhaps he was remembering the countless nights I spent alone, abandoned by him, as I painstakingly gathered evidence of his infidelity.
