Thinking back to the way he had treated me today, a flicker of guilt gnawed at him. His jaw tightened and he waved his assistant over. “Find out which ward Henry is in. I need to see him immediately.”
Ten minutes later, his assistant returned, visibly shaken.
Sir, I checked… Madam and Henry never got into the ambulance.”
