Remi’s POV
The crowd roared around me, the noise a buzzing echo in my ears as I shifted. My wolf, stronger than I had felt, surged forward, the power crackling through every fiber of my being. I could feel the eyes of the spectators me, their murmurs, their whispers–some of them doubt, some of them awe.
I was no longer just Remi. I was a force, a raw, untamed creature that could not be ignored.
My fur was a brilliant silver, shimmering under the sunlight, and for the first time, I felt as though I belonged here, in the center of it all. I could smell the fear, the tension in the air. These wolves who thought they could challenge me didn’t know what they were up against.
The first opponent stepped forward, a knight who underestimated me. He shifted, his wolf smaller, less formidable than mine. I could see his hesitation, his doubt as he circled me, but I wasn’t going to wait for him to
make a mistake With a growl, I lunged at him, knocking him to the ground before he even had time to react.
The crowd gasped as I pinned him my claws digging into the dirt beside his throat. He surrendered without a fight, his wolf whimpering beneath me. I let him go with a swift motion, stepping back to prepare for the next round.
The second opponent was more skilled, but no matter how fast or agile they were, it didn’t matter.
With each fight, I could feel my confidence growing. My wolf was in sync with me, every muscle working in perfect harmony
I wasn’t just winning–I was dominating
By the time the last opponent stepped into the ring, the crowd was almost silent in anticipation. I could hear their whispers, the speculation about Bianca’s deleat, the murmurs about the strange strength I was displaying.
I could feel it now–my true power. It wasn’t just the Moonstone, it wasn’t just my wolf–it was something more. “Fuck!” He growled
I fought my last opponent with precision, dodging and weaving as his attacks came at me with speed. But I was faster, stronger. Within minutes, had him on the ground, his wolf pinned beneath me.
The
arena erupted into applause, and for a moment, I stood there, breathing heavily, looking out at the sea of faces But something wasn’t right.
My vision blurred, and my legs suddenly gave way. My body was too heavy, and the world spun around me. I tried to focus, tried to steady myself, but it was useless. The ground rushed up to meet me as everything went black.
When I woke up–I didn’t know how long I was asleep–everything was blurry at first. I blinked a few times, my mind groggy, my body feeling like it had been dragged through hell. A soft beeping sound filled my ears, and the scent of antiseptic and herbs lingered in the air.
I turned my head slowly, my gaze landing on the Crown Prince.
Raegan
He was sitting beside my bed, looking down at me with a mix of concern and something else I couldn’t place. His face softened when he saw I was awake, and he leaned forward slightly, his eyes studying me intently.
“Hem,” he said softly, his voice low and calm. “You’re awake.”
I blinked again, trying to process what had happened. My head was pounding, and my limbs felt heavy. I tried to sit up but winced as a wave of dizziness hit me, Raegan’s hand was there to steady me, his grip gentle but firm. “There’s something I wanna show you” He stood up from his seat, moving to a nearby table where a set of papers lay He picked them up, and I noticed the familiar symbols of a royal seal stamped across the top.
“This,” he said, turning to face me as he held up a sheet of paper. “This is a DNA test.”
My heart skipped a beat “What? What are you talking about?”
Raegan’s expression was serious, his jaw clenched tight. “The results came in. It’s something to do with you.”
