“As Luna’s own brother, why did you accept this situation without solid evidence at the time? Don’t you realize that your actions were the final straw that led to her tragic death?“}
Nick sobbed uncontrollably, while Gerald beside him had red–rimmed eyes.
“Because we thought Luna was guilty and that’s why she nearly stabbed Daisy to death with the knife.”
“We wanted her to learn her lesson, so we said what we did. But we never expected it to be all wrong!“>
With that, he pulled out a transparent bag containing an identification certificate and the bloody surgical knife.
“Besides Luna’s fingerprints, there are more of Daisy’s fingerprints on the knife!“}
The crowd gasped in shock, staring at the evidence with disbelief.”
“No… no, that’s not true…” Daisy stammered, feeling guilty but unable to come up with a defense.
Nick fought back tears and continued, “After investigating, Gerald and I discovered that the so–called head of security and the black men were all arranged and colluded by Daisy herself!“}
At this point, the head of security was dragged into the room. His face was pale as he kneeled on the floor, admitting, “Yes. Miss Daisy bribed me. She had me remove the bodyguards in Fennel City and let those black men take her away to torture her.“>
“After Mr. Helmes and the others locked her in the hospital, she feared they’d discover something. So, she had me bring her to meet with the black men. She also gave me three million dollars hush money…“>
As he spoke, the bodyguard pulled out a bank transaction statement, showing a three million dollars transfer from Daisy’s account.
Nick then played the video of her instructing the head of security not to stop the reporters.
At this point, everyone was certain that Daisy was behind everything.
“You’re lying! I didn’t do it! Nick, Gerald, he’s lying! I don’t know those black men and I never gave him that money! You have to believe
me!”
“Enough with your excuses. The evidence is undeniable. Daisy, you disgust me!” Nick yelled in anger and Gerald immediately dialed the police.[
“Daisy, you’re a kidnapper and murderer. I’m going to make you pay for Luna’s death!“}
Daisy was furious but knew, with all this evidence, she was in deep trouble. If the head of security could be bought off by Nick and Gerald, how much more easily could those black men from the underdeveloped countries be swayed?>
“You slandered me for them, but did you ever think about the fact that you could end up in jail too?” She asked the head of security and as soon as the words left her mouth, she knew it was a mistake to ask. The head of security would only end up in jail at most, but the one who would truly be punished severely was her.
“Miss Daisy, don’t make the mistake of wronging yourself again! The evidence is undeniable, how could I slander you?“}
The reporters cursed angrily, raising their cameras, saying they would broadcast this live to the entire country.
The sound of police siren’s rang out from downstairs and Daisy finally understood. Nick and Gerald wanted her to bear all this pain, to make her feel the despair and pain I once endured.
Tears streamed down her face as she snatched the scalpel from Gerald’s hand and plunged it into her heart. The change was so swift that no one had time to react. Neither Nick nor Gerald had anticipated that Daisy would have the courage to commit suicide.
She collapsed in a pool of blood, weakly speaking, “If you think I owe her, then I’ll return my life to her.“>
“But Nick, Gerald, do you really hate me so much that you want me to endure all that suffering too? I don’t deserve this… Luna really isn’t the one I harmed…”
As she spoke, blood spilled from her mouth and the female reporter couldn’t bear to watch, saying.
