His voice grew noticeably colder and more forceful. Bella’s eyes reddened in anger and humiliation, tears welling up as she tried to stir his heart with pity.
But that tactic no longer worked. Right now, all Caelan could think about was finding Jane.
Seeing that he wouldn’t budge no matter what, Bella could only step out of the car.
Caelan ordered the driver to head home.
He told himself that Jane was just traveling abroad and she would come back eventually.
But despite all his rushing, he found that everything of hers was already gone when he returned home.

“Jane, what gives you the right to just leave like that?”
He staggered back in a daze, his laugh more bitter than a sob.
Something seemed to flash across his mind and he immediately jumped back into the car and drove to the Shaw Family estate.
Her mother, Shanin, was there feeding the child with a bottle when he arrived. She frowned slightly at the sight of him and said in a cool tone, “Weren’t you supposed to be with your dear girlfriend to her parents today? What brings you back?”
The sarcasm in her words was unmistakable.
