Quinn picked up the report from the floor, the words “antibiotics clearly printed on the testing sheet. The quantity was small, so she hadn’t thought much of it earlier.
Xavier quickly jumped to conclusions, “I think you’ve been poisoning Olive little by little, trying to kill her slowly.”
Quinn furrowed her brow, tightening her grip on the report in her hand.
Colton adjusted his glasses, “Xavier, calm down. Olive is still sick.”
Betty, also unaware of Olive’s allergy to antibiotics, stepped forward with concern. “Olive, how come I didn’t know allergic to antibiotics!”

Olive wiped away her tears, looking up at Betty. “Mom, I only found out recently. I didn’t want to worry you, so I only told Xavier.”
Eugene, still attempting to maintain peace, spoke up. “Alright, it’s all settled now, isn’t it? Let’s not blow this out of proportion.”
Betty, agreeing with Eugene, added, “Why don’t we take Olive home to rest for now? She needs proper care.”
In the end, Olive was escorted home by Colton and Xavier.
Quinn stood in place, watching as Zayden brushed past her.
Before leaving. Zayden paused, turned, and glanced back at Quinn’s slender figure. His eyes hardened, his expression resolute before he left.
After Zayden left, Betty walked up to Quinn. “Come on, let’s go home. We’ll talk about everything tomorrow.”
Eugene observed Quinn carefully. “Ah, you’ve grown up. If this were before, you would’ve been crying by now.”
At Eugene’s words, Quinn looked up. In her memories, Eugene had never been so biased, and he used to care for her more privately. Just like now, Quinn felt like she was grasping at a lifeline.
“How’s Grandpa? I’ve been back for so long, but I haven’t seen him.“Quinn’s voice was filled with urgency, desperate to hear anything about her grandfather from Eugene.
But Eugene pulled away from her grasp. “Quinn, I know you miss Grandpa, but I don’t know anything about him. I haven’t seen him in a while either.”
After saying that, Eugene quickly walked away, likely fearing Quinn would press for more answers.
Quinn’s suspicions grew stronger. Something was very wrong with the Fairchild family. Why were they stopping her from seeing Grandpa? Something must have happened to him!
She delayed for a moment before heading back.
In the Fairchild family living room, no one was around. Only Olive’s room was brightly lit. Quinn stepped lightly, making her way to the balcony of Olive’s room.
No matter what, she had to clear her name and find out where Grandpa was.
Inside the room, Xavier seemed to be scolding Olive. “Olive, what on earth happened today?”
Betty spoke gently. “Yes, Olive, why did your medicine suddenly change? Was it you who…?”
Before Betty could finish her question, Olive’s tears flowed freely. “Mom, don’t you trust me? I was already scared from that accident, why would I make a joke out of something like this?”

Quinn do this? If she really swapped the medicine, why would she take it for testing?”

At those words, Olive’s heart skipped a beat, but she continued to play the victim. “Xavier, how would I know what Quinn is trying to do…
“She’s done things like this before. We can’t let her get anywhere near Olive’s food. The priority now is to break off her engagement with Zayden immediately.”
Olive poked her head out from Betty’s embrace. “But Zayden insists on waiting for Grandpa to wake up. Quinn really wants to see Grandpa too.”
She then grabbed Betty’s sleeve, looking desperate. “Mom, I really like Zayden. Can you please get Quinn to break off the engagement with him?”
“Quinn can’t see Grandpa!” Colton’s voice suddenly interrupted the conversation.
Olive, confused, asked. “Coltort, why not?”
Betty, also puzzled. pulled Olive close to her. “Yes, Colton, why can’t she see him?”
Xavier and Colton exchanged a knowing look.
“You don’t need to worry about this. It won’t happen again, Xavier waved dismissively.
Colton ruffled Olive’s hair. “Be good, rest well. We’re here for you. Don’t worry.”
The room fell silent as footsteps faded and the atmosphere quieted.
Quinn, having held her tongue, tasted the bitter metallic tang in her mouth. There was definitely something off about all of
This
If her patience and restraint within the Fairchild family couldn’t get her what she needed, then her silence would only make them bolder in their manipulation.
The next morning. Quinn sat at the end of the table, eating breakfast.
Olive and Xavier descended the stairs one after the other, and Colton had already left with his briefcase.
Betty sat at the head of the table, taking care of Olive as she ate.
As soon as Olive sat down, she didn’t waste any time. “Quinn, I want the whole wheat bread in front of you. Can I have it?”
Quinn didn’t move.
Olive smiled brightly and asked again.
“Quinn, are you deaf?” Xavier slammed his hand on the table, shouting loudly.
Quinn slowly lifted her head, tilting it slightly. “Is she missing a hand or a leg? She’s not incapable of feeding herself, right?”
Xavier, furious, marched over and snatched the bread from Quinn’s plate, handing it to Olive.
Quinn didn’t stop him. She hadn’t planned on eating it anyway.
But to her surprise, five minutes later, she heard Olive stirring up trouble again. “Xavier, did I do something wrong to upset Quinn?
At those words, Betty’s tone grew sharp. “Quinny, why are you fighting with someone at the table? Isn’t it better if we just eat together happily as a family?”

Before she realized that the Fairchild family was intentionally preventing her from seeing Grandpa, she had been playing along. But now, she couldn’t hold back anymore.
รับ
At this moment, she didn’t want to keep quiet any longer. “Do you know that in prison, if you don’t speak like this, they’ll break you down completely?”
Quinn accurately tossed the napkin she’d used into the trash.
“You think I picked up bad habits in prison? Let me show you exactly what I learned!”
Quinn, dressed in a white dress, radiated an aura of terror from Xavier’s perspective, like a demon risen from hell come to collect what was owed.
She picked up the hot milk in front of her, walked over to Olive’s side, and said. “You like to take what’s mine, right? Here,
have it.”
With that, she poured the entire cup of milk onto Olive’s carefully styled hair.
Jolive screamed in pain, quickly running away.
Xavier stormed forward, shielding Olive, looking at Quinn as if she were insane. “Are you out of your mind?”
