Chapter 24
Otherwise, who in their right mind would willingly give up the title of “Mrs. Billionaire“?
Nadia said nothing.

Has Callum completely lost it? Was he seriously trying to dictate her life after the divorce? Since when had he become this controlling?
No, wait. Wasn’t this kind of possessiveness supposed to be reserved for Brittany?
She spoke calmly, her voice laced with sarcasm. “Don’t worry, Mr. Ford. I won’t be with anyone. I promise I’ll grow old alone and die alone. How’s that? Satisfied?”
Callum went silent.
What the hell? When did Nadia go from quiet and obedient… to sharp–tongued and impossible to shake? And where was all this confidence coming from?
It felt off. She seemed confident.
She played piano, spoke multiple languages, and was known as the “Queen of the Cue“.
She had a glow that lit up every room she walked into. That glow pulled at him like a magnet, dragging his heart along with it, and it sparked his maddening sense of possessiveness.
He didn’t want to let her go. He didn’t want anyone else to have her.
A wave of irritation surged in his chest. She was starting to give him a damn headache.
Suddenly, a shrill alarm blared from another room, casting the space in an eerie red glow.
What the-?
Nadia bolted toward the sound, her eyes locking instantly onto the computer screen.
“Alert! Multiple unknown IP addresses detected!”
“Firewall level one breached!”
“Data leakage in progress…”
Bright red warning boxes popped up one after another, pulsing like a heartbeat.
Her data was under attack.
With no time to think, her fingers flew to the keyboard, reacting purely on instinct.
Lines of code flew across the screen as she worked to reinforce the firewall and patch the breaches, but there were too many attackers.
Every time she plugged one hole, three more popped up.
IP addresses flooded the display like a rising tide, dense and overwhelming.
“Damn it,” she muttered, sweat beading on her forehead.
Her fingers flew across the keyboard, so fast they practically left afterimages.
Someone was trying to hack into her database at a time like this. It seemned the Chrisen family was even more desperate than she thought.
Callum stood behind her, eyes scanning the screen as strings of code and data streamed past.
He watched as she reinforced the firewall again and again, punching in the sequence 02090630 along with a complex mix of letters–it was clearly a key code. Her speed shocked him. But she was up against at least 30 skilled hackers, attacking in waves.
She was outnumbered, and the cracks were starting to show.
“Alert! Firewall level two breached!”
“Warning! Core data access attempt detected!”
No.
Her heart dropped.
They were moving so fast, she couldn’t hold them off alone.
At this rate, it was only a matter of time before they broke into her system.
Just then, two network–sharing requests popped up on the screen—it was Samuel and Milo.
Nadia’s heart skipped a beat. She knew instantly that they were here to help.
But if she accepted their connection, and the moment either of them spoke, her secret identity as Nior would be blown.
She’d be laid bare before Callum, nothing left to hide. Still, she couldn’t fight off this many elite hackers alone.
Just as she hesitated, a cool and steady hand rested firmly on her shoulder.
*I’ve got this.”
Callum’s voice was low and calm, completely unwavering.
