Chapter 6
Jovan’s voice was cold, “Sarahi, stop lying all the time. We all saw it.”
The blooming of the tung flowers seemed to be a reminder that it was not the time to be stubborn, but to sincerely apologize.
Sarahi chuckled softly.
She looked at the child over there who was crying and stealing glances here, “Okay, that was me who hit her.”
Anyway, no one would believe me,
Sir Hubbard became angry and raised his hand abruptly.
Jovan quickly stopped him.
Sarahi knew that he was just worried about his heart being damaged.
Once the date of the surgery was set, she could not afford any mishaps.
Jovan pushed the furious Sir Hubbard out, leaving only him, Ernesto, and Sarahi in the room.
Jovan’s face turned cold as he said, “It’s just a few pieces of paper, why are you so insensitive? Is it necessary?”
Sarahi’s body trembled.
Just a few pieces of paper?
ཉ ཇ F ཟ
That was her work, her effort, and something she loved passionately!
In Jovan’s mouth, it was just a few pieces of paper.
Sarahi suddenly felt ridiculous, and as she laughed, tears streamed down her face. It turned out that in the hearts of these people, she was so insignificant.
Sarahi covered her chest and felt a real and intense pain.
It used to be so heartbreaking when I was extremely sad.
Jovan’s face changed slightly when he saw her, and he quickly supported her. “What’s wrong with you? Don’t get worked up, take a deep breath. Is it really necessary to make such a big deal out of this little thing? We can just forget about it if it’s that serious.”
“Take a deep breath, I made you take a deep breath!”
Sarahi couldn’t take it anymore and forcefully pushed him away, scolding, “Go away!”
She smashed everything at hand.
“Get out of here, all of you!”
Jovan dared not provoke her any further and turned around to leave.
His face just looked very unpleasant.
That night, her emotions calmed down a little.
Jovan told her, “The surgery date was set for ten days later.”
Sarahi had no reaction.
Jovan continued, “I originally wanted to wait until you got better, but you were being so uncooperative. This way, things will only become more unstable. Ten days from now is the best date.”
Sarahi still just nodded calmly, as if accepting everything
Jovan’s face eased a bit, and he remained silent for a moment before saying, “I personally performed the surgery. After administering anesthesia, you wouldn’t feel any pain.”
Sarahi could hear the rare tenderness in his tone.
She looked up, revealing a weak and pale face, “Do I still have to thank you?”
Jovan couldn’t speak.
Sarahi is now very thin, with sunken cheeks and pale lips.

She lay in bed, her eyes filled with a hint of resentment, “Jovan, have you ever thought about what if I really die after the surgery?”
Jovan trembled.
He stood frozen in place, feeling panic for the first time.
But soon, Jovan calmed down again and said rationally, “The fact has been verified that you won’t really die until the task is completed, so there’s no need to deceive me with such words.”
The trace of unwillingness in Sarahi’s eyes completely dissipated, slowly turning dark.
This was her last attempt.
Jovan, in this world, there was no fool who knew their true heart was being trampled upon, yet still foolishly held out a heart to offer.
At least she wasn’t.
In the future, Sarahi, this person, will completely disappear from your life.
In the ward, there was a silent stillness.
Jovan looked at the tears in the corner of her eyes, and a dense pain grew in his chest.
But soon, he suppressed the pain again, as reason told him it was only temporary.
Once the surgery was done, everything would be over, and he would make it up to Sarahi.
They would still be the same as before, and Sarahi would return to him again.
She would come back to life. Everything would have a chance.
