Chapter 9
“No matter how hard you tried, it was all in vain. Whatever I wanted, my parents, even Jovan, would bring it to me.”
“Did my sister never enjoy such treatment before?”
Denisse spoke and suddenly laughed, with a chilling malice, “I wonder if my sister will still have a chance to see me on the runway after my surgery is
done.”
That look, clearly understood everything.
She knew everything.
Sarahi looked at her coldly and only said one sentence, “Even if you go on stage, with your level, you will only become a joke.”
Denisse’s face immediately turned black.
With no one around, she didn’t hide her expression at all and sneered, “Instead of worrying about me, why don’t you worry about your good friend who is said to be causing trouble now.”
Sarahi’s face changed dramatically, “What do you mean?”
Denisse pretended to be innocent and said, “Don’t you know yet? Your good friend Aubrie came to me with a strange attitude. I just told my dad that I didn’t like her, and it seems like he specifically sent someone to deal with her.”
“Although it was difficult, you know your father’s methods. Just give her any tax–related charges, and she won’t be able to get out of prison for ten or eight years.”
Sarahi couldn’t bear it anymore and raised her hand, slapping her, “Madwoman!”
“What are you coming at me for? Why are you targeting my friend!”
Denisse laughed indifferently, “Who made you care about her? You don’t have much left for me to target now, so I can only make things difficult for her.”
“It’s your fault, if anyone is to blame. It was you who harmed your best friend, what does it have to do with me.”
Denisse smiled innocently, but behind that was a chilling cruelty.
Sarahi raised her hand, but before she could put it down, she was forcefully pushed aside.
Jovan rushed over and angrily shielded Denisse behind him.
“What were you doing!”
He glared at Sarahi, his eyes filled with anger, “What did Deni do to you? You want to hurt her again.”
In the blink of an eye, Denisse choked up and couldn’t stop crying, “Jovan, it’s not sister’s fault, I accidentally offended her with my words.”
“It’s okay that my sister hit me to vent her anger, I didn’t feel any pain.”
Denisse suddenly felt difficulty breathing, as if she was about to die and felt uncomfortable,
Jovan’s face looked even worse.
“Sarahi, are you crazy? Why did you lay hands on Deni? Look at how you provoked her!”
Sarahi, however, had no intention of paying him any attention.
She had only one thought now, which was to call her best friend in advance and inform her to be cautious.
However, as soon as she took out her phone, Jovan slapped it out of her hand and said, “Do you have any heart at all? How can you think about playing with your phone at a time like this? Deni’s illness can’t handle any more stress!”
The mobile phone fell on the ground, and the screen instantly shattered into four or five pieces.
Sarahi picked it up and checked, only to find that it had completely crashed and couldn’t be turned on again.
Jovan ignored her behavior and grabbed Sarahi’s hand, saying loudly, “Deni’s condition worsened, and we must start the surgery immediately.”
Sarahi then realized that Denisse was clutching her chest and gasping for breath.
She looked extremely pained, tightly gripping onto Jovan’s clothes, but her gaze was provocatively challenging towards Sarahi.
It was obvious that he was pretending

Sarahi shrugged him off and headed towards the nurse’s station to borrow a phone.
However, Jovan held onto Sarahi tightly, exerting immense strength and not giving her any chance to resist. “Do you really want to back out? There’s no need to wait any longer, the surgery must be done immediately!”
Sarahi was being dragged towards the operating room.
She was powerless to resist and could only plead with Jovan, “I won’t regret it, just let me make a phone call first, I have an urgent matter.”
Jovan didn’t listen at all, he just treated it as if she was procrastinating.
Sarahi was weakly pressed onto the operating table, and several people tied her up.
Tears of anxiety streamed down as she pleaded incessantly, “Jovan, I beg you, just let me make a phone call, just one call, please…”
Jovan, however, said coldly, “Administer anesthesia.”
The cold liquid was injected into her body, and Sarahi knew she had no chance.
My eyelids grew heavier and heavier, and everything in front of me turned darker and darker.
In the last second before losing consciousness, Sarahi looked at the man in front of her, tears sliding down her cheeks.
“Jovan, I hated you.”
In the darkness.
The cold system in her mind sounded, “Unfortunately, the affinity is insufficient, and the host has failed the third mission.”
“According to the host’s wishes, we have reselected the target for your strategy and are currently searching for a suitable opportunity for your rebirth…”
