Chapter 9
By the time Leon, Zane, and Steve arrived at the hospital, Giselle had already been brought back from the rooftop.
She lay in bed and looked at the three of them with tearful eyes, as if silently accusing them of abandoning her.
“Why did you take so long to come?”
As soon as the words rolled out of her mouth, big, fat tears started rolling down her cheeks.
The trio immediately felt bad for her and surrounded her bed.
“Don’t cry anymore. We’re here now, aren’t we?” Leon said, wiping away the tears from the corners of Giselle’s e
s eyes. His eyes were full of hurt and pity for her.
“That’s right. Your body is still recovering, and you can’t let your emotions get out of control like this. You just need to focus on healing. We’ll all be here with you,
Zane said, cautiously glancing at Leon, silently berating himself for letting Leon beat him to it.
“Yes. We’ll be here with you the whole time,” Steve chimed in, not wanting to lose.
“But… But one of you will still need to marry Ms. Jenner… And my heart hurts so badly when I think of it. I don’t want any of you to be forced into a marriage you’ll never be happy with just for my sake. Forever is just too long!”
Giselle lowered her head sadly after speaking. However, a sly smile briefly appeared on her lips, but the trio never caught sight of it.
When she lifted her head again, her face was all sad and teary once more.
Leon, Zane, and Steve felt the warmth spread in their hearts when they heard that Giselle was just trying to look out for them. They’d already long forgotten the weird feeling they felt when meeting up with Cheryl earlier today.
“Gigi, you know that you’re the one we truly love. How could you say such a thing?”
“Even if one of us is forced to marry Cheryl, you will still always be the most important person

our lives.”
Giselle looked at the three young men, who promised her the moon and the stars, and felt gleeful and victorious.
So what if Cheryl was the esteemed heiress? Giselle was still capable of stealing everything she had from right under her nose.
On the other hand, Cheryl only hesitated for a moment after seeing the trio leave before heading out toward the airport.
She arrived a lot earlier than expected.
A thought suddenly occurred to her, and she hurriedly placed a call back home.
“Dad? I think you should get rid of Aaron. It’s not appropriate for Giselle to continue living under our roof anymore.”
“Alright. You head over first. Your mom and I will be there a little later.”
It was time to board by the time she ended the call. So, Cheryl turned off her phone and went to sleep.
Francis and Meredith had planned to fire Aaron anyway. Back then, they had only taken in Aaron as their butler because they felt sorry for him. After all, it hadn’t been easy for him to raise Giselle as a single father. So, they had graciously offered to take him and his daughter under their wing.
In the end, both Aaron and Giselle had publicly embarrassed them during the banquet.
So, they told the HR department to terminate Aaron’s contract immediately.
However, the moment Aaron received the termination letter, he immediately barged into the study without even knocking on the door to question Francis.
“Mr. Jenner! What have I done wrong? Why did you fire me?”
“Mr. Brussel, you’re not fit to continue working for our family anymore.”
Francis looked at Aaron, who was still glaring at him indignantly, and felt angry. It seemed like he’d been too lenient with the househelp after all, to the point that they dared to disrespect him and think that they could climb over his head.
“So what if the heirs from the Kingsleys, the Thomsons, and the Laurents like my daughter? It just means that Ms. Jenner isn’t attractive enough…”
Aaron went on and on with his complaints, and Francis just stared, regretting ever feeling sorry for Aaron in the past.
He just called security and told them to throw Aaron out of the mansion. Then, he told the housekeeper to discard all of their belongings as well.
Aaron was furious about being chased out of the Jenners‘ mansion. Was it his fault that Giselle was more charming than Cheryl? The Jenners were just abusing their powers at this rate!
He immediately called Giselle at the hospital, demanding that she find him a job that paid handsomely without him having to lift a finger.
Giselle was also angry when she heard that Francis had chased her and Aaron out of the mansion. She’d been living with the Jenners for such a long time! Who gave them the right to chase her and her father out for no good reason?
She immediately turned to the three young men and sobbed loudly.

“Leon, Zane, Steve, what should I do? Cheryl chased me and my dad out of the house because of what happened at the banquet!”
She continued sobbing and hiccuping as she spoke. “I know that Ms. Jenner is mad at me, but my dad didn’t do anything wrong! What did he do to deserve this?”
The trio immediately called Cheryl to retract Aaron’s wrongful termination. However, no matter how much they called, they were sent to voicemail every single time.
Their faces gradually turned dark
Thutters
“Don’t worry, Gigi. I won’t let you or your dad wander on the streets. I’ve got an extra empty villa that you and your dad can move into.”
“Gigi, I’ve got a vacant house too…”
Giselled felt touched when she saw the three men fighting each other to let her stay at their vacant properties.
“I’m so glad I still have you guys.”
