Chapter 14
Darnien was so angry he almost laughed.
He sneered. “Who told you I didn’t like her? I love her.
“She’s the one I love most, and you’re nothing but a plaything! Who permitted you to lay a hand on her? Taylor, get on with it. Do I need to teach you how to do it?”
Taylor muttered, “If he loved Ms. Wilde, would he have treated her like this?”
He truly didn’t understand. But he still obediently did as Damien instructed, slapping Ophélia with all his strength.
There was a clear difference in strength between men and women. Ophelia’s face immediately swelled up with just one slap, losing all trace of her previous fragile pitifulness.
She was beaten so hard she could only lean weakly against the wall. Now, genuine tears were streaming down continuously.
Gone was her earlier defiance, and she instantly became submissive, pleading, “Damien, I know I was wrong. I really know I was wrong. Please let me go, okay? I can apologize to Ms. Wilde.
“Stop hitting me. If you keep going, I’ll die! My face will be ruined!”
Ophelia desperately used both hands to protect her cheeks, wishing she could curl into a ball. Since he didn’t hear Damien call for a stop, Taylor continued with a cold expression.
He pulled her hands away and struck her hard. After several crisp slaps, Ophelia lay on the ground, barely breathing. Her face was now swollen beyond recognition.
However, she no longer cared about that. She had only one thought, and that was to escape.
Damien was a madman! She couldn’t understand how Damien, who had been incredibly indulgent and gentle with her before, had completely changed overnight. She had hidden everything so well before.
Ophelia inconspicuously crawled toward the door, but Taylor noticed her intention and dragged her back before continuing to slap her. Listening to the continuous slapping sounds, Damien felt extremely irritated.
He waved his hand, signaling Taylor to stop.
“Take Ophelia away. Don’t let her die. Have someone watch while Gale finishes the 100 slaps, then lock her in the walk–in freezer for ten days.
“Remember to keep her alive–her suffering isn’t over yet!
“As for Ophelia’s parents, cut off their treatment. They owe Celeste blood, so make them draw it and give it back to Celeste!”
After Taylor acknowledged the order, he quickly dragged Ophelia away. She looked at Damien with eyes full of despair, unable to understand how things had developed to this point.
Both she and her parents were finished, and they would all be tortured. How could she possibly accept this? Ophelia struggled desperately, continuously lunging toward Damien.
“Even if I did wrong and bullied Celeste, you taught me to do it! She deserved it! You shouldn’t treat me and my parents like this!
“Damien, you said you would spoil me and indulge me, that I could do whatever I wanted, even if I turned the world upside down! Why are you treating me like this? Don’t you love me anymore?”
Tears streamed down her face as she stubbornly demanded an answer, refusing to give up until the very end.
Damien’s eyes were dark and dangerous as he spoke impatiently, “I don’t love you anymore. I’m tired of you. After Celeste left, you don’t seem that interesting either.
“I’m your sugar daddy, and you’re just a mistress. When I spoiled you, it was a favor to you. You have no right to interfere in my affairs when I don’t spoil you!
“From today on, you and I have nothing to do with each other. I’ll have someone send all your things back to your home. That villa will also be taken back. After you’ve been punished, don’t appear in front of me again!”
With these words, Ophelia fell into complete despair and was dragged away dejectedly. Damien rubbed his aching temples, the irritation in his heart becoming even more apparent.
After Celeste left, everything had become exceptionally boring. Even work had become extraordinarily tedious and annoying.
along, it had been him who couldn’t leave Celeste, not Celeste who couldn’t leave him.
