Chapter 50
Diana motioned for an assistant to bring in the fishing gear they had prepared beforehand. Under Zen’s stunned gaze, she said, “I remember you’re quite the angler. It’s not just your hobby but also a skill you honed.”
Zen nodded. “Yeah. When I go months without landing a role, I usually fish to pass the time.”
Diana smiled in response. “Perfect. Your livestream will focus on what you love, such as fishing and how to choose fishing gear.
“As for your accounts, they’re already set up,” she continued, booting up her laptop in front of the group. “This platform is gaining traction lately. While there are plenty of streaming platforms out there, most of them are overcrowded. I suggest we build a presence here.”
Callum Foster craned his neck to read the platform name on the screen. “Stargaze… Stargaze? Wait, isn’t this founded by Charlie Jackman, the Scott family’s heir?”
As an application that launched just a year ago, Stargaze was still finding its footing. It was unlike traditional streaming sites that were bloated with endless dramas or streaming platforms where livestreams took place 24/7. Yet, it was growing at a stunning pace with increasing users.
Stargaze had found its edge by aligning with the fast–paced rhythm of modern life. This short video platform, which did not rely solely on live streaming, fit perfectly into the fragmented schedules. Its fast–paced, engaging format easily drew people in.
Moreover, its cutting–edge big data algorithm ensured that no two users saw the same content. Each user’s feed was uniquely tailored to their interests, making it incredibly addictive. Frankly, it was designed to be highly habit–forming.
This was exactly why Diana had insisted that Sherry didn’t produce any male–gaze content in her stream. Once the algorithm latched onto that target audience group, it would start pushing her toward a path filled with sleazy, off–putting fans. It would narrow her reach.
Diana never believed that female influencers needed to rely on suggestive content to gain followers.
After giving them the general guidelines, she gave them free rein to explore their paths. There were no strict time slots or schedules. Everyone could go live whenever they pleased.
Stargaze was still on the rise, and Diana’s collaboration with Charlie involved investing in the platform as a stakeholder.
She brought in a team of seasoned actors from Citrus Bless, who had once shone brightly before fading into semi–obscurity, to join Stargaze. In doing so, she helped attract a portion of their fan base to the platform.
In return, Stargaze would bring amplified exposure for Citrus Bless talents through its algorithms.
It was a symbiotic relationship, built to rise together. If Stargaze exploded with fame, these pioneering creators might become the platform’s founding legends.
Diana could tell Charlie was a rare talent. One day, Stargaze would become a household name, its icon gracing smartphones across the nation. She trusted her instincts and had faith in Charlie.
As the trial livestream concluded, faces across the room were lit up with joy.
“Oh my god, I’m tearing up! I spotted my very first fan in the comments. She was just a college student when we first met online, and now she’s a mother!” Someone beamed.
“Streaming was way easier than I imagined. It felt like catching up with old friends. Sure, my viewer count barely scratched a thousand, but it felt great.” Sherry remained hunched over her phone. Noticing that, Diana approached her, stating, “Your room had the highest trafic out of everyone.”
Sheny looked up, her eyes brimming with tears. With excitement in her eyes and a smile on her face, she exclaimed, “Diana, my fans never forget me. Some of the girls who used to vote for me during the talent show days were in my stream tonight.”
