Chapter 60
With a smile on his face, Vincent raised his brows slightly with a nonchalant attitude.
People needed a reason to justify their actions. So, after crossing the line with Gabriella, he told himself it was just how men were.
Besides, Diana would forever hold the title of Mrs. Hendrix, so no matter how much he doted on Gabriella, he would never let her threaten Diana’s rightful place as the legitimate wife. He even felt slightly sorry for the harsh words he had thrown at Diana during their argument that day.
But Yugo’s words reminded him of something.
When he and Yugo said goodbye, Vincent went back to the villa.
“Vincent, you’re back!” Wearing a crimson off–the–shoulder dress, Gabriella bounced over and jumped into Vincent’s arms with a bright smile.
Vincent opened his arms to catch her. His brows furrowed slightly when he turned his gaze tò her exposed neckline. “It’s still the beginning of spring, and the temperature difference between day and night is huge these days. Why are you wearing something so revealing?”
“It’s good–looking.” Gabriella pouted. “Don’t you like the dress, Vincent?”
Vincent smiled slightly, his eyes full of affection as he pinched her cheek. “Aren’t you afraid of catching a cold?”
“It’s better if I’m sick.” Gabriella rested her arms around his neck as her fingers trailed around naughtily.
“Is it?” Vincent raised his brows.
Gabriella beamed at him and replied sweetly, “If I’m sick, you can always stay by my side. Then, I won’t be disappointed when you’re not beside me when I wake up every day.”
When he heard her words, Vincent let out a helpless sigh and said, “Gabby, I have a lot of things to do every day–the company needs me.”
He really couldn’t throw all his work away because of a woman.
Gabriella frowned unhappily. “You’re such a meanie! Your company is so big, and you have so many employees. Why can’t you let them handle some of the work?
“Don’t you have two executive assistants? I heard that Aaron and Rolind are both pretty capable. If it really doesn’t work out, let them work overtime.” Gabriella shook his arm and pouted, continuing, “I just Winderbay, we were always together. I really missed those days.”

A hint of sadness flashed across her face when she said this.
Vincent let out a soft smile and leaned down to kiss Gabriella. He decided to shut her up in the most efficient way he could–by taking action rather than words.
After their kiss, just as Gabriella thought they would do something more intense, she heard Vincent’s calm voice. “Gabby, you need to move out of the house for a while.”
“What?” Gabriella thought she had misheard him.
Vincent let go of her waist and turned around to sit on the couch. He furrowed his brows and said, “Paparazzi are swarming outside, all dying to get more dirt.”
Most importantly, he got a call from Jason on his way home. Even if he tried to keep it from Jason, the truth still came out- Jason in the end. He even knew the news that Diana hadn’t come back to live in the villa for a long time.

Vincent didn’t want to upset Jason. Besides, according to what he knew about Jason, Jason would definitely call Diana to come back to the villa. For the time being, whether Diana liked it or not, she would be coming back home to live,

After considerable thinking, Vincent decided to let Gabriella return to Silverbrook Villa. After all, he and Diana were legitimate husband and wife. It made no sense for a married couple to live in separate places for so long.
“I don’t want to leave!” Tears rolled down Gabriella’s cheeks in an instant. She took a few steps forward and stopped in front of Vincent. “Don’t you love me anymore? Vincent, are you tired of me? You’re tired of this relationship, aren’t you?”
Gabriella’s eyes were full of hurt, and she could barely stand. She looked heart–achingly pitiful with her teary eyes.
After rubbing his temples, Vincent reached out his hand and brought her into his arms. “Gabby, I don’t want Diana to find out about our relationship for now. You need to stay away for a few days–she might be coming back home.”
He didn’t tell Gabriella that Diana already knew about their relationship, since Gabriella would be more burdened by it.
To him, Gabriella was a pure, kind–hearted woman with a strong sense of right and wrong. Their relationship had weighed heavily on her, drowning her in guilt and pain.

Aside from the occasional boldness and flirtatious moments, Gabriella was still that pure and innocent woman from Winderbay. If she ever found out about it, knowing how kind and pure–hearted she was, she would probably confess to Diana and beg for forgiveness,
