Chapter 65
Suddenly, his body stiffened as if he had just realized something. Vincent’s eyes snapped open.
Their
gazes met.
Both Diana and Vincent were speechless for some time.
In the end, it was Diana who broke the awkward silence first.
While struggling to escape from the embrace with his scent, she said, “It’s morning. Time to get up.”
“Yeah, you go ahead.” Vincent’s expression was unreadable, and he looked away.
During breakfast, Diana kept her head down, silently eating.
Vincent also ate in silence from where he sat across from her.
Jason had a routine of going out for fresh air after breakfast, so the maid wheeled him to the park for a stroll.
Today was Vincent’s day off, so he didn’t have to go to the office.
“Are you off today too?” Vincent glanced at his watch, then looked at her.
Diana nodded. “My filming just wrapped up. I don’t plan to join another crew for now.”
Everything was running smoothly at Citrus Bless, going just as she had planned. It was progressing smoothly in the direction she had envisioned. She had been working nonstop for months, juggling multiple responsibilities, and was often so busy she even forgot to eat.
With Jason staging this incident, it just so happened to give her an excuse to take two days off to rest and recharge.
Upon hearing the words “wrapped up“, Vincent seemed to have thought of something and raised an eyebrow.
“You don’t need to imitate Gabby. Some things aren’t suited for
everyone.”
“Me? Imitating her?” Diana’s head jerked up, her voice rising several pitches in disbelief. Her eyes were full of incredulity.
Vincent added, “She became an actress in the entertainment industry, and now you’re becoming one too. If that’s not imitation, what is?”
Diana feit a surge of anger welling up inside her.
She straightened up and lifted her chin toward him, her tone mocking.
“So, by your logic, every actor who debuts from now on is just imitating Gabriella?”
That simple refutation left Vincent speechless.
Diana continued, “I joined the industry because I’m genuinely interested in this field. Also, as someone in Citrus Bless‘ management, I want to better understand how it works. What does that have to do with Gabriella?
“Or do you think I’m only fit to

compete with Gabriella in some petty rivalry?”
Vincent was slightly taken aback. He
expected her to answer like this.
When had her world stopped revolving around him? When had she stopped being jealous of Gabriella?
“Vincent!” A sweet, crisp voice suddenly rang It was Gabriella. She had shown up again.
from
outside, breaking the tense silence in the living room.
The raoment Vincent saw her, his face froze slightly, Fortunately, Jason wouldn’t be back for a while.
d he instinctively checked the time.
and frowned.
“Why are you here?” Vincent stood up
“Vincent, aren’t you happy to see me?” Gabriella pouted, her face full of innocent grievance.
She was young and beautiful, with bright and lively features. When she made such expressions, it made her look extra cute and charming.
Seeing this, Diana knew that the stage belonged to Gabriella now.
She simply turned around and prepared to head to the study to read for a while.
Vincent should be sensible enough not to let Gabriella stay by the time Jason returned.
“Diana! I haven’t seen you in so long, so I brought a little gift just for you. I picked it out myself. I hope you don’t mind!”
Gabriella tilted her head and smiled sweetly, her tone overflowing with cuteness.
Diana ignored her and headed straight for the study.
Gabriella’s eyes immediately turned red, her face full of panic.
“Vincent, does Diana not want to see me? Did I come at a bad time and bother you two?”
“Diana.” Vincent lightly patted Gabriella’s shoulder comfortingly, then sharply called out, “Gabby’s talking to you. Are you
deaf?”
Diana’s lips twitched, but in the end, she said nothing.
She kept walking forward without looking back, ignoring the two behind her.
Loyalty was essential in love. Unfortunately, whether it was toward Diana or Gabriella, this simple truth was something Vincent didn’t seem to
understand.
