As Sylvia’s seductive moans played through the recording, Cameron’s face went pale in an instant.
He opened his mouth, ready to say that Sylvia had just been moaning nonsense and that the man she’d been with wasn’t him at all.
But the very next second, his own voice came through the speaker. “Sylvia, you’re unbelievable… I wonder if my brother ever knew how wild you are in bed…”
There was no denying it now. The evidence was ironclad.
Simone stood with her arms crossed. Her expression was cold. “I knew you’d try to deny it, which is why I recorded everything. And it’s not just audio. I’ve got video recordings, too. If you want to see it, I can play it for you right now.”
She had originally recorded everything in secret because she was worried Cameron might refuse to go through with the divorce. She planned to use the footage as leverage if she needed to.
But with the help of her lawyer, the divorce had gone smoothly, and she never needed to use the recordings.
But now, they were finally serving their purpose.
“Cameron, you didn’t just cheat. You lied through your teeth, over and over,” Simone said. Her voice was trembling with fury after everything she had bottled up.
Tears welled in her eyes, but her tone was sharper than ever. “Your whole family treated me like a fool. All of you were working together to lie to me! “You all knew Sylvia was pregnant with your child, and yet you hid it from me. You acted like I was paranoid, like I was being petty and cruel!
“Cameron, what you did to me wasn’t just lying or cheating. You involved your whole family in gaslighting and bullying me!”
And it wasn’t an exaggeration. They hadn’t just lied or excluded her. They had physically and emotionally tormented her.
When Sylvia faked being hit by a car, it was Simone who ended up beaten bloody by Cameron’s family.
When Sylvia threw herself down the stairs, Cameron ordered his men to hold Simone down and forcibly take her blood to save Sylvia.
