With that, Cameron threw himself into chasing Simone like never before.
He was acting like it was the early days of their relationship again. He brought her flowers, desserts, and all sorts of cute little gifts every day.
On top of that, he spent a fortune to buy the apartment across her unit, just to be closer to her.
Every morning, he would get all dressed up, hold a bouquet of roses, and wait downstairs to offer her a ride to work. “Good morning, Mona. You look even more beautiful today than yesterday.

Every evening, he would wait downstairs at Simone’s office with roses, hoping to catch her after work. “All done for the day, Mona? You haven’t eaten yet, right? How about I take you out for dinner?
“If you’re not hungry, how about I just drop you off at home? We live in the same complex, and I’m heading that way anyway. I bought these roses for you. Would you take them?”
But no matter how hard Cameron tried to be sweet, Simone just brushed him off. She threw the roses he gave her straight into the trash and fed the breakfast to the stray dogs.
She also returned all the fancy gifts he gave, exactly like how she received them. Of course, she didn’t have them back in person. She packed all the gifts into a big box and left them outside his door.

“I’m not going anywhere. I’ll keep chasing you until you fall for me again. It’s okay. We’ll take it slow. After all, I have a lifetime ahead of me.”
Simone used to be deeply moved by those romantic confessions, but now she was over it. She was done with Cameron. All she wanted was to leave him behind and start anew.
She couldn’t help but complain to Olivia Patton, her best friend. “Calling the police won’t change anything. He has been smart about it. He has only been trying to win me over, but he hasn’t sent any harassment texts or made any physical contact.
“The police said he is just being persistent in chasing me, and it isn’t harassment, so they can’t detain him. What do I have to do to make him go away? I told him many times already, I won’t forgive him, and it’s over between us, but he just won’t listen.
“Do I really have to quit my job and hide somewhere to finally get away from him? But why should I? I didn’t do anything wrong. Why do I have to hide like some wanted criminal?”
Hearing that, Olivia suggested, “I’ve got an idea that t could help you get rid of Cameron for good, but it can be a little extreme. Do you want to try it?” Simone perked up and asked, “What do you matter how harsh it is.”
