Chapter 19

Cameron’s expression turned darker, but he knew he was in the wrong, so he didn’t say a word.
He tried to swallow his anger and gently soothed Simone, “Cut it out, Mona. I know you’re frustrated and hurt. I understand how you feel.
“Can you stop making a scene? I promise, from now on, you’re the only one in my eyes. I won’t be with anyone else. I won’t even look at another woman.

Even now, he still thought that she was just making a fuss.
Simone’s heart sank. Since Cameron thought she was just being dramatic, she decided to blow things up and give him a spectacle.
She grunted. “You still don’t get the point, Cameron. Sure, I’m getting back at you, but I also genuinely want to have a baby with Wilbur.
“I’m not trying to annoy you, but this is just what I’m asking. If you want to get back together, I have to have a baby with another man first. That’s only fair.
After saying that, Simone pulled Wilbur’s tie and stood on her tiptoes. She kissed him passionately right in front of Cameron.
Cameron was trembling with rage. The lawyer had warned him again and again not to make any physical contact with Simone as he pursued her, or it would be considered harassment.
If he were convicted of harassment, the police would make him wear an ankle monitor, and he would never be able to be near her again.
He charged forward and pushed Wilbur away. “That’s enough. You’re mine, Mona. I won’t let you kiss another man in front of me.”
He held her shoulder, and his gaze was frantic. “I can’t take it anymore. You belong to me, Mona. How can you kiss another man?”
Watching Cameron panic, Simone didn’t feel moved at all. If anything, she only grew colder. “I’ve only kissed another man, and you’re already losing it, Cameron. But what about you? You slept with my sister, and it wasn’t just once.
“Do you even realize how disgusting it was for me to see you two in bed? I almost threw up, but you actually want me to forgive you. That’s impossible. I’ll never forgive you. Seeing you now just makes me sick.”
Her words stabbed into his heart like a sharp knife. The pain was excruciating, and he could barely breathe.
Right then, he finally realized how wrong he had been. “I’m sorry, Mona.”
Cameron had apologized to Simone several times before. But those apologies weren’t sincere. He only wanted to win her back.
All the sweet words and tearful apologies were just tricks to coax her back. He never really thought he had done anything wrong.
After seeing her kiss someone else right in front of him, he finally realized the hurt that cheating brought. He couldn’t even bear a simple kiss.
Meanwhile, Cameron slept with Sylvia right under Simone’s nose.
Tears streamed down his face. “I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I didn’t realize this would hurt you so badly, Mona.
“You have to believe me. I really love you. If I get another chance, I swear I won’t do this again. Can you forgive me, Mona? I’m begging you. Just give me
one last chance.”
