Chapter 24
After all this time thinking this through, Cameron came to two decisions. The first was to hand over everything he owned to Simone.
Whether she would accept it or not, he was set on giving her all his wealth to atone for everything he had done and make things right.
The next thing he wanted to do was to return home right away. He would approach Sylvia and have her abort the child.
Simone’s cold and unyielding attitude was Cameron’s wake–up call. He realized that if Sylvia were to give birth to the baby, things would be over between Simone and him.
She wasn’t the type to forgive easily. When he went to Kiverton, it felt like he went through hell and back just to get a chance to make up with her.
If she found out that he had gotten Sylvia pregnant during her time away, the fallout would be disastrous. The baby had to be aborted.
So, Cameron made up an excuse and secretly went back home.
Sylvia was thrilled to see Cameron. She looked around like she was trying to find Simone, then grinned and asked, “You’re back, Cameron. Why are you alone? Didn’t Mona come back with you?”
As she spoke, she was secretly feeling pretty smug. She thought Cameron had finally come around by choosing her over Simone.
But what Cameron said next completely shattered Sylvia’s fantasy.
Cameron lowered his head, and he seemed solemn. “I’m sorry, Sylvia. Mona refused to come back with me. She just wouldn’t forgive me.
“But I didn’t give up. I kept working on earning her forgiveness, and she finally gave me a chance to make things right.”
Sylvia forced a smile. “Really? Isn’t that great? Why are you apologizing to me?”
Hearing that, Cameron’s face darkened with sorrow. “I had to fight so hard to get Mona to give me a chance to start over, Sylvia. I can’t afford to lose this. I’m sorry, but I can’t keep the baby in your belly.”
Right then, Sylvia was already over five months pregnant. Her belly had already rounded out, and the baby inside her had fully developed.
Despite that, Cameron wanted to get rid of the baby inside her.
Sylvia wasn’t having it. She held her stomach and backed away. “Are you out of your mind, Cameron? This is our baby. I’m already five months into the pregnancy, and the baby is even kicking me.”
Cameron didn’t care about any of that. He kept walking closer to Sylvia. “Sorry, Sylvia. But if you have this baby, it’s the end for me and Mona. If I want to get back together with her, you just have to be the one to make the sacrifice.”
With that, he nodded to his men and coldly ordered, “Grab her. Take her for the abortion.
Sylvia was truly terrified at this point. She pressed her hand on her belly and ran out in a frenzy. She screamed at the top of her lungs, “Please! No! I need

However, he had been fully prepared. Fearing his parents might interfere, he had already made up an excuse to send them away.
With only Sylvia in the house now, she had nowhere to run.
