Chapter 25
Sylvia shouted in despair, “Help! Somebody, please. He’s going to kill my baby.”
No matter how much she yelled, it was all in vain. Cameron’s men still caught her and pinned her down on the operating table.
She sobbed and screamed, “Don’t do this, Cameron. It’s your own child. You can’t do this.”
Her desperate cries were met with nothing but Cameron’s emotionless gaze. He coldly remarked, “You’re my sister–in–law. How could you carry my child? Only Mona is worthy to have my baby.”
Right then, Sylvia was utterly heartbroken. “You’re so cold–hearted, Cameron.”
At the height of her despair, she suddenly burst out laughing. “Do you really think doing this will make Simone forgive you, Cameron? Dream on. As her sister, I know her better than anyone.
“She will never forgive you. Everything she said to you was a lie. She’s the cruelest person. The second you betray her, she’ll never forgive you, not even in death.
“All that you’ve done is useless. Do you hear me, Cameron? It’s all in vain.‘
“I
But no matter how much Sylvia yelled, Cameron didn’t budge.
Back when they were just starting to date, Simone had told him, “If you fall out of love with me someday, please tell me, Cameron. I won’t cling to you. We’ll break up without hard feelings.
“You can’t lie to me, and you absolutely can’t betray me because I don’t forget things easily. If you ever betray me, I’ll never forgive you for the rest of my life.”
Cameron thought Simone was kidding, but it turned out that she was dead serious. She would never forgive any betrayal, but he felt like he had paid a heavy price too.
For the past few days, he was forced to watch her sleep with other men. No man could take such humiliation and pain, but he managed to endure it.
He had already paid the price he deserved, so she had to forgive him. If not, what was all the humiliation and pain he had suffered over the past few days for?
The abortion had already begun on the operating table. The doctor gave Sylvia anesthesia and inserted the cold forceps into her body.
She was cursing at first. But as the anesthesia slowly kicked in, she didn’t have the strength to continue.
She felt a sharp pain in her lower region. Tears filled her eyes as she inurmured, “My baby… My child…”
Sylvia had been carrying the baby for five months. It was part of her. How could she not be attached?
Before she passed out, she glared at him with pure hatred and cursed, “You’ll get what’s coming for you, Cameron.”
After saying those words, she passed out. Sure enough, those words came true.
After making Sylvia go through the abortion, Cameron flew back to Kiverton that night.
When he flew back, he made sure to bring the wedding ring he had designed for Simone. He was planning to propose to her again.
Sylvia’s baby was gone, and it was all over. Now, he could finally start fresh with Simone.
Cameron took out the diamond ring and dropped to one knee in front of Simone. “You’ve been getting back at ine for three months, Mona. Have you gotten all that anger out of your system yet?
“I’ve fully realized the mistakes I made. How about we put an end to his mess and start over?”
