Chapter 15
Estelle was woken up by the noise, and she couldn’t go back to sleep after.
So, she washed up and went downstairs. Ruben had already made lunch and was waiting for her.
When he saw her put on her coat and prepare to leave, Ruben got up from the table and carefully asked, “Estelle, the food is ready. Aren’t you eating at home?”
“I lose my appetite as soon as I see you. I’ll starve to death one day if you force me to eat at home all the time.”
Ruben lowered his head. “Then… Come home earlier tonight.”
The only answer he got was the sound of the door slamming behind her.
Ruben knew that Estelle was still mad at him. However, since they’d been together for so long, he figured he would still have a chance at salvaging their relationship once she calmed down.
The only thing was that the waiting game was quite a hard one to play. Still, Ruben chuckled bitterly to himself. He’d brought it all upon himself, anyway. He deserved it.
Estelle left the mansion. She wasn’t interested in lunch anymore. She just felt extremely frustrated.
Last time, Estelle used to be very puzzled when she saw Cassie always breaking up and getting back together with her boyfriend. If they loved each other, then they should stay together and if they didn’t love each other anymore, then they just had to break up.
it was as simple as that. So, why did Cassie just have to keep going back to the same guy?
But now, Estelle finally understood why. Habits formed with the partner when in love were hard to break. Even if Cassie were to give up on their relationship, the familiar habits and guilt would still trip her up from the inside, tearing at her heart and giving her all sorts of heartache.
Frustrated, Estelle decided to go to the largest host club in town and asked for a dozen young men to serve her.
One of the men took a swig of alcohol and came closer to Estelle, meaning to feed it to her with his mouth. Estelle didn’t reject him, but just as their lips were about to meet, the door was suddenly flung open, and the man was harshly pushed away.
Asher’s face was as cold as ice. He glared coldly at the other male hosts in the room and said, “Get out.”
“I
He then looked at Estelle and asked, “Do you know what you’re doing?”

Estelle leaned back against the couch and took another sip of her alcohol. “I do. But what does any of that have to do with you? I’m the one spending the money on them. You have no right to chase them out.
“If anything, you’re the one who should be getting out instead. Stop spoiling my fun and leave.‘
She’d only just talked to Asher for a short while when Ruben also arrived after getting a tip. He’d rushed all the way here.
He glanced at the men in the room with a cold, murderous look in his eyes. However, a split second later, he turned to Estelle and said in a pleading voice, “Love, won’t you come home with me? These people are all filthy.”
Estelle cackled. “They’re filthy? What, and you’re the pure and holy one?”
Ruben’s face paled as he stood rooted to the ground.
“I know that you got your inen to follow me. That’s how you learned about my whereabouts and arrived here so quickly. But let me tell you something- if you can have an affair, then I can have my fun as well.
“Don’t interrupt me again the next time I’m having fun. You’re being such a spoilsport. Ask yourself a question–even though I’d long found out about you and Louisa, I still said nothing about your affair so that you could have all your fun with her. So, when have I ever behaved the way you did?
Ruben’s face just got paler and paler.
Estelle then turned her attention to Asher. “Ashy, aren’t you leaving yet? Even my husband has no say whether I’m allowed to have fun with my boytoys, so who do you think you are to do the same to me?
“Or, do you just have too much free time on your hands? You should take better care of your body, if that’s the case. Drink some water or something.”
Then, she said, “Alright, now the both of you can get the hell out of this place. And close the door behind you.”
Ruben knew that he was the one who’d done Estelle wrong in the first place, so there was nothing he could say that would hold water. Still, he couldn’t bring himself to leave. He could bear to let Estelle have her way with the dozens of other men inside the room.
He was so jealous of them.
Meanwhile, Asher’s chest just kept heaving. He was mad at Estelle’s irresponsible words. More importantly, he was mad at himself. He had come here initially to strike a business deal when he’d accidentally witnessed the almost–kiss. So, he rushed into the room as quickly as he could,
Why had he been such a busybody?
Just as the tension in the air was about to freeze, a woman suddenly rushed in.
As soon as she entered the room, the woman wrapped her arms around Ruben’s legs and hugged them tightly.
“Ruben! Ruben Daye, how could you be so heartless? How couldn’t you not care about your kids anymore!”
Chapter 15
The voice was simply too familiar that nobody could ever get her wrong. It was Louisa Todd.
